A simple LINK-1, it protects your monsters from battle and switches effects to itself, which also boosts its ATK. Until then, it also can't be destroyed by battle and you don't take damage from battles involving it, so you get to keep it around for a while. Card with a lot of use if your options are limited.

1 monster, except a Token
You take no damage from battles involving this card. While this card is linked, it cannot be destroyed by battle. Monsters co-linked to this card cannot be destroyed by battle. Once per turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets a monster this card is co-linked to, if this card would be an appropriate target (Quick Effect): You can change the target to this card, also  this card gains 1000 ATK.

A layer of protection for your EM Zone boss. That's fine and all, but IDK if the genericness of its material requirement could lead to unfair misuses, at the moment cannot think anything specific. At the very least it outclasses the Ventriloquist Duo, though, something that I don't find as cool.

Sometimes Konami makes mistakes in what it takes as the standard for what is to be expected for a similar card, that card is very much Clara & Rushka, the Ventriloduo, it is not designed with any reasonable thought in mind for something like that, it does not benefit you in any way other than pointing, as such, we are setting the bar to "is it worse than just pointing?" That limits design abilities a lot, so I do not care if this is better than that card.

You sure about that? I know it's used for making monsters float, plus an interesting application in Dark Magicians: it gets Magician's Rod in the GY so you can use its GY effect during the opponent's turn.

So it does have its applications and niches, and IMO it's too soon to outclass it.
