Must be Link Summoned. While you control this face-up card, the effects of all other face-up cards on the field are negated and neither player can activate set Spell/Trap cards. If this card attacks while their are 3 or more Spell/Trap cards on your side of the field, until the end of the Battle Phase this turn, increase this cards ATK by 1000 and this card gains the following effect:

* This card cannot be destroyed as a result of battle.

So Corrupted Dark Magician as its name implies corrupts the field by make the effects of all other cards on the field negated then if you have 3 or more of those negated Spell/Traps this card gains 1000 ATK and can protect itself from battle destruction increase of any hand traps that would boost ATK.

 

In Dark Magician this can as a powerful card though using it does play the risk of shutting down all of your other card effects and also points to an opponents zone where it can allow your opponent to summon Monsters from their Extra Deck though if you can get 3 or more Spell/Traps on the field this will be combat ready regardless of the whole effect negation.
