Must be Fusion Summoned. At the start of the damage step when this card attacks an opponents monster: increase this cards ATK equal to halve of the attack targets ATK and halve the attack targets ATK during damage calculation only. When this card attacks a Defence Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage.

So this remastered version of Mantle acts like a improved Elemental HERO Gaia where the effect to halve an opponents ATK and gain that ATK for itself on Fusion Summon for that turn is changed to being during damage calculation when this attacks an opponents monster where in addition to this Mantle also can deal piercing damage which combined with its first effect means it can deal a lot of damage with one strike.

 

In HERO's this would be a good Fusion to summon using Solid Solider where using a card like Polymerization on Solid Solider to summon this will also allow you to bring back another HERO monster from your grave to the field.
