Forbidden Egyptian Dvinity

Shadowring

Recommended Posts

Description: You can Tribute Summon 1 monster in addition to your Normal Summon/Set this turn. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) "Forbidden One" monsters on the field counts as 3 tributes for a Tribute Summon of a Level 10 DIVINE monster. Once per turn, you can send 1 Level 10 DIVINE monster to the GY or Banish it from your hand: Add 1 "Forbidden One" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, you can tribute 1 face up "Forbidden One" monster you control: Special Summon 1 Level 10 DIVINE monster from your hand, Deck, GY or banish zone, ignoring its summoning conditions. If a Level 10 DIVINE monster you control leaves the field, add 1 "Forbidden One" monster from your GY or banish zone to your hand. Neither player can activate cards in response to this card's activation, also neither player can activate cards, effects or fullfil a summoning condition that would negate this card effects or make it leaves the field.

You clearly make this to boost the your deck right?:

Yeah that deck definitely never gonna work in irl setting unless by miracle your card here is printed by konami themselves

Why double cost (sending to GY and Banish)? It doesnt have bonus effect if you do the other cost. So its a waste of space really unless you put bonuses like Snowflower archetype does

Its easily to imagine this part of the effect is result of 2 preschool kids trying to one up each other making thing as OP as possible for sake of OP.

But lets be realistic, its OP the rest of the effect already reeks awful smell of potential abuse by having SOPT on many of its search effect that also happen to be almost free. Now with this is guarantee to activated and stay permanently

Also, its prevent the summoning of  monster that could be a threat of this card.

Its a forced mess really

The double cost is to play against those players that lock GY or prevent cards being banished, so I can use the effect still.

Also this card doesnt prevent any summon, for example, if they create a kaiju for spells, then this card would prevent it, but the opponent can still summon things like spell canceller to deal with this card.

The protection part is to make the gods and exodia with the godly power they deserve.

You do realize that Exodia's godlike power is the win condition, right? Get all 5 pieces in hand and you win. So unless you plan on running Obelisk, Slifer and all 3 versions of Ra, this is actually slower than just using a draw engine for an Exodia OTK. It speeds up the summoning of the god cards a tiny bit and that is good, but all 3 god cards are essentially giant beatsticks. But I do have a question about Ra's effect. Does the ATK it gains from your LP only last until the End Phase or does it stay throughout the duel?

I made this card to make possible to play exodia and the gods in a same deck. Ras effect seens to last untill he leaves the field.

It also seems that using Monster Reborn on Ra doesn't give you the LP->ATK/DEF swap effect. But Monster Reincarnation will since it puts Ra back in your hand and allows you to Normal Summon it again.
