Guest Star Posted May 12, 2008 Report Share Posted May 12, 2008 Well, I never posted an Introduction, but I'm not doing this to increase my post count or to gain popularity. I'm doing this because there is something that I would like to explain to the members of YCM. I've been a member of this forum since June 29, 2007 and I've seen this forum go through many changes. Some of these changes have been good, and some of these changes have been bad. Now then, there are three reasons that I posted this thread, and I am going to explain each reason in great detail. 1. Another change has to be made: I've been insulted and respected on YCM, but I have always tried to make this forum the best it could be. In other words, I've done all I could to help this forum reach its full potential. I have done a lot for the Graphic Design Section, yet people like Sanji The Perverse better, and people insult me and my Graphic Skills (if I do have any). Sometimes I don't understand why I do anything for the forum if people aren't going to care about it. From now on, I'm going to start being very strict in the Graphic Design Section. There will be no warnings. 2. More Moderators have to be made: The Mod Application Thread was posted weeks ago, and there are still no new moderators. I don't understand why this is taking a while. YCMaker has to make more moderators so that there won't be a problem if another porn attack happens. I don't think that this delay should continue. 3. Rules have to be followed: There are so many members that don't follow rules and disrespect other members. I don't understand why you people can't read the rules before you do something. It doesn't make sense to me. There are so many threads getting locked because people can't take five minutes to read the rules. Seriously, pay more attention. I'm going to have a new attitude around here. If you don't respect me, that's fine, but I'm not going to let all these rules be broken. There will be no warnings. If people disrespect you, take it as a form of experience to gain, so that you can train yourself to be more persistent and determined. YCmaker needs to decide on the mods quickly and sooner, who knows when or if there will be another porn attack. If there ever is, we need to be fully prepared for it. We have handled recent attacks with incredible fluidity and coordination, and most images have only been up for about 30 seconds at most. I can vouch for YCMaker and say he has been busy in the last few weeks, but has not forgotten about the new mods. I've talked to him about it several times, and he is considering. I urge you guys not to get frustrated, because at the moment, I don't see any huge void that needs to be filled by adding mods, other than stopping appliers restlessness regarding whether or not they've been chosen. Oh right, Star asked me to post, might as well say something useful. Star, no matter how childish, redundant, or obvious his posts, is one of the oldest and most contributing members to this site, and should not be disrespected for anything he posts. I will agree, a lot of what he posts (or to apply to me, says over MSN, but its basically the same thing) is highly disagreeable, and makes me question his judgment. His opinions do not change what kind of person he is, he is a friendly and rather funny character, and should not be ridiculed for the way he expresses himself, be it by post, IM, or video. My point is, Star gets a lot of crap, I've seen it, there is no denying it, and there is no reason for it, and there is no reason for this thread to become another Star bashing thread. I do my job and that is that. Although I didn't quite understand your comment about me Remix but again I don't really care what anyone thinks about me, the only thing I care about is making sure this place runs to the best that it can, even if it means making a few people unhappy with me. I do my job and that is that.
