J, I wish you had said something earlier. I had no idea it was eating at you inside. Are you able to get on YIM or MSN? If you can, please do. If not, just stay strong and don't do anything you'll regret later. All of us would miss you a lot if you left YCM for good, but I can understand why you would need to leave. Just, figure out what the right thing to do is, and then do it. And if that means leaving YCM for good, then so be it. But make sure it's the correct decision.

If you wanna leave, then please, leave. I don't wanna have sombody be here that doesn't want to. But, why are you all of a sudden so pissed off at ycm?

You lost your job cus you where here? I'm sorry man, thats rough, but, well, maybe you should just be here a lil less. I wish you would stay. Just find some other things to do besides ycm ^_^

I know i'm here alot, but i'm home schooled, so, i have an exuce. But, really man, if your leaving, all I can say is that it's sad to see you go, and we will all miss you. But you can't blame ycm for your problems. It's not even a little bit of ycm's fault.

It isn`t easy Pizza trust me I try. I try to play a video game. 5 minutes and I am back on YCM. Read a book, All I think is YCM. Wake up in the morning Straight on YCM. It`s like this is a second life for me and that terrifies me. I am so sorry for coming out with a outburst like that. I was out of options. Only chance I had was to beg for a IP ban. Then there was no way to access YCM. No way to press the F5 key every 30 Seconds.

I lost my job because all I ever did was visit here. I am sick to death of coming on each day and staring at the screen. Please someone IP ban me before YCM damn consumes me!!!

 

OK, I'm here to help you, first calm down, go into your kitchen, and grab a glass of water.

 

I under stand you are frustrated about wasting your life on this forum, just set a schedule or something, maybe go on for an hour or two. If you need somebody to talk to, talk to me.

James. There's enough sadness from all the people leaving already, and yes, YCM does consume much of people's lives, but it shouldn't consume it all the way. Just spend some time away from YCM, try to get another job, watch some T.V., try to get in contact with long lost friends somewhere in town. You don't need to be on the computer 24/7, just maybe fore a few hours and that's all, then to get some exercise, and maybe even go hand out with friends.

Dude.....Chill. Seriously, if you want to leave, then leave. However, just think about what your leaving behind. Your Rep, friends, massive effort in everything you did here.....I feel bad for you. But....I don't feel like begging you to stay anymore.

Then when you have the urge to come on the forum, just go away from the computer. Like going to the movies, a walk in the park, climb a tree, Go take something from your neighbor's house that you let borrow but they never returned. And when you do need to gey on the computer, just don't type the link.

If he wants to leave, let him. K, so he feels all screwed up. But it shouldnt be this bad. Try to see a counslor. Thats how i came from a c student to a's and b+'s. Its part of life. Life isnt oh happy day for 75 years and you die. Nope. Life's gonna suk at some moments. But be thankful for what you have.

Do you really want to know how I lost my Internet? I told my best friend to take away a part of my PC. He did but then my addiction took hold of me and then I remembered my Modded Xbox. I set that up and here I am again..... Cursed.... It`s so hard to let go....

 

Then I suggest you get your local keyboard and mouse and through it out of your window to the nearest lake...that may take you mind off such consuming. (Just kidding) We care for you...

I'll add some of my own things to say along with the above quoted post.

 

Just think, without you, I probably would have went suicide from my depressions. You were one the main influences to get me out of them. Without you, YCM wouldn't be the same.

 

And even though you don't know it, you helped me in complete unison with my friends from school, so I'm gonna return the favor by saying...

 

...That even though you should take a vacation from YCM, maybe 1-2 weeks or so, we will always Love you as a friend and hope that everything turns out okay before the end. Because the end is too far away to start now.

I feel almost the same as you, Spirit. Except this time I'm only 12 years old and nothing about this forum will dramatically alter my life.

 

Do what you think is right. If it's an addiction, go to a counselor or a therapist. Heck, get a hypnotist to get you to break your addiction if it's that bad. Don't leave unless you've tried everything to break you addiction, for you will be deeply missed if you leave. The choice is yours. I respect you as a member, and I will leave it at that.

 

You live your own life from now on.

Hey I'm new so you dont know me but you seem nice and i looked at what every body else said. you seem real nice and a really awesome member. I had a big addiction to computer tv and videos so my parents gorunded me from them which said hey look books, hey look friends, hey look life. So just ask somebody to take your comp for a while so you can mellow out. or ask for a temparery ban cause i dont think a permenet ban will solve your problem you'll just find other ways like the library and etc. etc. so get find a mate and take your mind off it and if you ever get addicted too much just ask for another ban

 

(i'm 12 and i have a addiction to rping but to get rid of it ask your parents or friends or etc to take your addiction away and hide it until you have almost forgotten)

Nate..... Thanks. I`m sure a few of you were starting to notice me acting differently. Today on MSN I had to say my apologies right in the middle of making cards just so I could get away from it all.

A certain member said to me "James, Why are you leaving? My answer was to get away from my addiction then they asked something which to them was normal but to me it was cruel. "What if you made a Mod?" I instantly snapped saying "How could you say something like that!?"

Today I tried to enjoy some games. I played Resident Evil 2 with Leon, then had a nice bath but YCM was always eating me up inside. browarod i`m surprised you never noticed the tone of some of my messages.

I love you all to bits here. But I have a life I want to get back to somehow. You have all been great friends to me. browarod I respect almost as a brother. So again I am truely sorry for shouting like that at the beginning. I`m going to fight this addiction. I just hope one day when i`ve had some Therapy or cured it on my own. You`ll treat me as the person you all love not the person who slipped over the edge.

Well DMG I am very sorry to hear that, I hope you stay long anough to collect your goodbye presents from me. I will post them soon, it is your decision, your life. It feels like losing 72 all over again, I hope you can fight it and I hope you return. You were very nice to me and everyone else you got me pepped when I was down. If you want I can get a club up and get people to help finish your pokemon set. I (and others) will help finish your last set!

As far as I'm concerned, you still are the person I've been friends with since we got to know each other. That has never changed, and will never change. I hope and pray that you are able to overcome this addiction, and I want you to know I'll be here for you if you need anything. From a pep talk to a shoulder to cry on to giving OCG tips I'm just an IM or PM away, always ^_^
