Guest Star
Konami limited Monster Reborn. That pretty much nullifies your point about Konami having any sense in doing anything. Well' date=' they did ban Dimension Fusion. Premature Burial is more broken than Monster Reborn because of Arms Hole. You can use Monster Reborn once in a duel, and you can use Premature Burial four times in a duel. Allure of Darkness should be banned. However, the logic of some people in this thread is bad. Banning Darklord Zerato and Dark Magician of Chaos won't make Allure of Darkness less broken. There are a lot of good DARK monsters, and banning two of them won't solve the problem. Allure of Darkness is a + zero, and it allows your Deck to have a lot of speed. [sarcasm']Although, since hotfoilcard is the best duelist on here, and he thinks it shouldn't be banned, I don't think you should ban it.[/sarcasm]
Tickle Me Emo
I dont think Allure is the problem. Its the monsters that are sent out that are the problem. I dont see a reason to have Allure at 2, make it three. If its causing so much chaos in the meta ban the cards that are the chaos, that make it such a powerful card. J-Max
Only playable in DARK Decks. Other then that you risk blowing your whole hand. *Runs away before I can be killed*
TAG
Only playable in DARK Decks. Other then that you risk blowing your whole hand. *Runs away before I can be killed*If you don't want to run that risk, then activate it when you have a DARK monster in your hand. IMO, it's a Pot of Greed with a small price to pay. The reward gained from this card by using it seems to exceed the skill required (which, as far as I'm concerned, is only a little) to benefit from it by a considerable amount. EDIT: Wow, I'm retarded. I've only noticed just now that the little thing in the middle of that picture is a deck and not a hole.

Tekken Ham
We're looking dumber and dumber by the post. Correct me if I'm wrong, the banlist is there to stop insane OTKs. Like Elma Loop or Magical Scientist. It also gets rid of broken cards. Pot of Greed, Change of Heart, Raigeki. It also stops broken decks. Like Chaos or Yata-Lock. Now then, how is this card broken? How does this fuel an insane OTK? I thought Konami crippled DaD Return with the Mid-Format change. Semi'ing allure was overkill, however overkill is nice because it further cripples DaD decks. By banning the cards that actually cause the OTK, like Elma, Magical Scientist, Yata, DFusion, they cut the root of the problem. From what I see here, YCM wants to kill everything but the root. The root is the problem, not the plant. Of course if you mangle the plant enough it won't grow back even if you didn't touch the root, but then you'd ban a crapload of cards, just to stop a broken deck when you can ban a few to get the same effect. Allure is fine at 3, it is fine at 2, it is fine at 1. It doesn't deserve the ban. It's a part of the plant known as DaD Return that was killed by the banning of DFusion and limiting of RFtDD. It is still great in Darks, but if you guys want to ban Allure, you'd have to ban every other good draw card like Solar Recharge and Trade-In. Know then, do you idiots think those deserve a ban? Although this draw card is more general and with a D-Hero deck (or using a bunch of them) you could use Allure, D-Draw, and Trade-In.

The Dark One
First of all, I want to establish that DAD Return has not yet been killed. Slowed down dramatically? Yes. Now we have several competitive deck possibilities, with Gladiator Beast's being at the top. In order to kill DADR, you must ban DAD. Problem solved. Now, Allure is better than other draw cards for the simple reason that Darks are the most supported type in the game. Does Allure deserve to be banned? Maybe. But I will agree that it certainly isn't the root of our problems right now. It just makes it far easier for a deck to get to those problem cards. All we have to do is ban DAD, ban Return, and ban Darklord Zerato. DMOC wouldn't be a bad idea to ban either. Problem solved. Those cards deserve banning with or without the existence of Allure, so we should get rid of those before we worry about Allure. After that, if Allure continues to be a problem, we can reevaluate. Kizzi
Let me explain why this could be balanced. It is a +0. This means it generates no advantage. With key RFP cards banned, it generates no advantage. This means, by itself, it is not instantly helpful. Additionally, it requires that you run DARK monsters. This means you must also have a suitable amount of DARK monsters to use this card. If you cannot draw DARK monsters, then using this card is bad. Also, if you can quickly draw DARK monsters (not counting using this card) then you could probably draw other types of monsters, and actually use useful spell cards, as this is the only DARK only draw card. This means that there is no way of sensibly avoiding devoting your Deck to DARK monsters. This causes you to restrict your selection and it means you must use time play testing with different amounts of DARK monsters, as it's near impossible to instantly find the exact correct balance between DARK fodder and other powerful. If you could do this quickly, then it would encourage using no thought. This card could also encourage new players to try using a DARK deck. In time, they may realize they need key cards that are not DARK, so they will build skill as they incorporate other cards into their deck. This will help them, as they can gain experience with successfully combining deck types and knowing how to balance between 2 themes. If they can do this, they will in turn become a more adventurous player and use a larger variety of cards. In conclusion, this card does not just help DARK monsters and DARK duelists, as through time, it will help all players, especially newbies. If you read this, then thank you for realizing an alternate viewpoint.
