I actually don’t hate this design, it’s a nice parallel to the new support but I wish it reflected its original counterpart more than just gaining atk.

 

This card is actually crazy but funnily enough I don’t think it solves any of the issues that heroes have. Would definitely see play and maybe even warp the deck but by 2025 standards I’d say it’s fine. Although I almost wonder if there should be a HERO lock on the card somewhere, maybe after the spell search?

so if you just play 3 of this you can search any "fusion" spell in the game by opening it milling another copy of itself and linking it off into clockwork knight

obviously it cuts you off using the likes of branded fusion unless you instead tribute it or something but branded wouldn't be the one in need of ways to search branded fusion, this can grab brilliant fusion, instant fusion, ready fusion, neos fusion, shaddoll fusion, fusion armament, re-fusion, hypothetically some day maybe dimension fusion and a load of other fusion spells with narrower or archetype-specific application

i don't think any of those are necessarily game-breaking in being enabled by this (brilliant fusion is pretty crazy and 3 additional copies in the formats it's at 1 may be the push it needs to become a problem) but it is basically a hyper-condensed version of the old predaplant ophrys scorptio into darlingtonia cobra combo, only without using your normal or requiring a discard or being vulnerable to imperm/veiler or playing a brick because you just draw this and it does it itself

i would enjoy it if they printed this card and i would say don't add a hero lock to it for the interest in seeing how these various generic engine applications would pan out, but i really do not know if it would be ok or the next insane random combo starter, level 3 earth machine seems decently searchable and it's completely free
