Barbarian Stampede Dragon (Single card)

Barbarian Stampede Dragon

Level 7 effect LIGHT Dragon-Type monster

This card can not be Special Summoned except by this card's effect. You can Special Summon this card (from your hand) by banishing 1 card from your GY and sending 1 monster you control to your GY. If this card is in your GY except the turn it was sent to the GY, you can discard 1 card and return 1 monster you control to your hand, you can Special Summon this card from your GY. This card gains 500 ATK & DEF for each banished "Barbarian Stampede Dragon". If this card attacks a defense position monster, this card inflicts piercing damage. During your Battle Phase if this card has attacked this turn, you can banish this card and if you do; Special Summon 1 "Barbarian Stampede Dragon" from your hand, Deck or GY. During the beginning of your Second Main Phase, if this card is banished because of the effect of "Barbarian Stampede Dragon", shuffle it into your Deck. You can only control 1 "Barbarian Stampede Dragon".

2500/2100

Hey man,

It's been some time since I've been here. I just looked at some old cards I posted here to include them in my backups and decided to take a look at the Realistic Cards forum.
Time for a good old review. Let's fix the PSCT first:
Since your first two methods to Summon this monster don't start a chain, they are Summoning Conditions, not effects. That causes the "cannot be Special Summoned except by its own effects" interfere with it. I'd recommend using activated effects for that instead. The tagging out effect must be a Quick Effect, or a trigger at the end of the Damage Step, if it is supposed to be working during the Battle Phase. I'd recommend a Quick Effect, as that would allow you to dodge removals like a Sakuretsu Armor, as the monster is considered attacking as soon as you declare an attack. I would also use the end of the Battle Phase instead of the start of Main Phase 2, mostly for convenience and to keep in line with the Battle Phase theme. When you trigger something at the start of MP2, you give the opponent a chance to use quick effects before you can activate any ignition effects twice (once to chain to your trigger, and another time after resolving it).

With all that in mind, here's my PSCT fix for you:

Cannot be Special Summoned except with the effect of "Barbarian Stampede Dragon". You can banish 1 card from your GY; send 1 monster you control to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon this card (from your hand). While this card is in your GY, except the turn it was sent there: You can discard 1 card; return 1 monster you control to the hand, and if you do, Special Summon this card. Gains 500 ATK and DEF for each banished "Barbarian Stampede Dragon". If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. During your Battle Phase, if this card attacked (Quick Effect): You can banish this card; Special Summon 1 "Barbarian Stampede Dragon" from your hand, Deck or GY. At the end of the Battle Phase, if this card was banished by the effect of "Barbarian Stampede Dragon": shuffle it into your Deck. You can only control 1 "Barbarian Stampede Dragon".

If I get it correctly, this monster is an absolute OTK machine, that can be Summoned from hand or delayed from the GY. Into an empty board it can connect with 2500, 3000 and 3500 for a total of 9000 damage. Since it is not an Extra Deck monster and doesn't have any inherent protection or a way to quickly access it from deck, I think the powerlevel is absolutely fine when compared to current meta, especially considering that it's only really playable if you put the full playset in your Deck.

When looking at Custom Cards, I often tend to take the amount of text on it into consideration for rating, and here we have a whopping 6 effects on 1 card, which seems alot. I think when playing with customs, you want your opponent to quickly gasp what you 're trying to do with the card, so the lesser text, the better. Looking at this monster and what it's supposed to do, I think we can confidently cut one of the effects. The ATK boost and Piercing are fine for an OTK card and the tag-out effect is the heart and soul of the card, but I think the banished monsters don't need to be shuffled back into the deck at all. If your opponent survives the attempted OTK, then that is either because they removed the Barbarian Stampede or somehow mitigate its attacks. In either case you won't get a second chance next turn anyway. I don't even think that removing the reset effect is a nerf for the card, as it will prevent you from drawing additional copies if your opponent manages to survive the OTK attempt.

Also I don't really get why you want to boost the DEF aswell, as there will probably never be a situation where that could be relevant.

Another thing you should consider is either removing one of the Summoning effects or combining them into 1, by just making one of them usable from hand or GY, aka:

You can banish 1 card from your GY; send 1 monster you control to the GY, and if you do, Special Summon this card (from your hand or GY).

The idea of tagging out and profiting from the banished copies is really creative and I love the idea. Depending on what other cards you could think of to support this beast, it might be very fun to play (reminds me of Purrely OTK a little bit).

Overall ignoring the small ruling errors, I'd rate this standalone card a solid 7/10!
