Simplify?

ok now this is rather a simple, but serious question, and its directed to the mods/admins

 

but i also want to see what the members think

 

 

now, to me, its only fair that the respectful members, and good mannered members get to be mods, and or super mods, do you agree with that?

 

and that has happened, and hasnt changed, at all, which is good.

 

but, to me, it is also fair that the mods most remain tentive, and do their job, isn't that agreeable?

 

now, as i currently see it, we have 3 un active mods, two of them supers

 

my question is, how come they still have their powers?

i mean, if we need more mod power, which we do

shouldnt we clear out the ones that dont work anymore?

 

no offense to Frunk, or Denillas (sp) but they are never on, Frunk is occassionally, but even he admitted to full committed leave

Dunillas hasn't been on, sense forever

 

and i have yet, to ever see Darkguy0000 log on, at all.

 

 

so, a simple answer yes or no, will suffice

 

but, it would be common courtesy to explain, lol =)

The new mods I see why they were picked, so no complaint either way....

Older mods, if they should return? I havent seen why those people left, but if they should return it would be mean to disable their powers if the reason was sufficient...

God Kaze and that Obelisk guy (forgot his name) are rarely online

And God Kaze said he would leave forever

but being a mod is a priveledge, and if you dont commit to the priveledge and do what your expected to do.

and im sure you also know that

there is Dj, whom is a super

whom can control more then just CC

and 4 other supers who can control more then just what it says they mod.

 

 

but as it stands, yes, total is as well un active

But they are super mods, and are very busy

So they don't have as much time to watch over 1 section all the time

 

One of the reasons why we need more normal mods

 

And the inactive mods, like the 5 we've listed, should probably be demoted and replaced

The Supers have too much to take care of. My Philosophy is the more Trusted Mods there are the easier it will be for the Supers. The Unactive ones should be Demoted if MIA for over a month unless hey have a Valid Reason.

As for darkguy00000 and Danilus, they are never online anyway

It's obvious that we have enough super moderators

But what we need is normal mods who can keep individual sections under control

If the site does indeed die, it will probably be because of lack of mods

Or at least decent ones....

They shouldn't, they have earned they title when they have done their job. It's only fair that they remain so as a tribute, if you have won an award in a hall of fame for some game should it be removed from you because you no longer play the game? They might not be here now but they once deserved it and in my eyes they never did anything bad that they deserve to get there powers removed.

They are never on and Cyber Altair they have become mods because they were good at the job and they did they'r job but now they don't log on anymore and the mod title is not something one gains for honor but to help the forums. I think that they should be demoted. But they will always be remembered by the oldest members of the forum.

What do we as a forum gain by them getting stripped of their power? What if there is an off chance where they (or at least one of them) come back, even if it's temporarily? I remember some members hunted down Danilus and asked him to return, if only temporarily. He was here for about a week and helped out before he vanished again. And while he was here, he closed down Card Trade. And I see TO occasionally. Remember that just because you don't post doesn't mean you're not here. While he's here, he could just be silently doing things. And right when the GameFAQs members joined, I recall darkguy00000 coming back temporarily. No one saw that coming. That just goes to show you that anyone can just randomly come back.

For your information, we just got two more. And again, what do we gain by already existing mods loosing their power? If anything, think of them as being on standby, because if we need to, we can probably ask them to help out in a time of emergency via e-mail.
