Phantom Roxas
Vexen, Larxene, Zexion, Lexaeus, and Marluxia all most likely died before Xion, and they didn't even bother changing to Organization IX before Xion's death. If they did bother changing the name every single time a member died, the name would have been Organization VIII when KH2 began. "XIII" could have had a more symbolic meaning than just the number of members.
六兆年と一夜物語
Interesting theory. Most likely Xemnas is too lazy to change the name of Organization XIII.
sleevecard
Well it could also be that the creators don't want to constantly change the name, since that would ruin recognition value. Plus XIII is known for being unlucky so XIV would just ruin the symbolism like Roxas said.

Amethyst Phoenix
So, for one of my classes, I apparently have to dress up as my figure from mythology for my report to get full credit. I got orpheus. Anyone notice that demyx is a slight reference to him? Demyx appears in the underworld and was a musician.

Larxene
Lol toga. I took Latin for two years, and we had to translate this one story that had one of the most epic yet stupid lines ever written. "Bring forth my toga!" xD Plus, we had the most awesome teacher ever. Phantom Roxas
Lol, that does sound stupid epic. In my English class, we're learning the story of Oedipus and Antigone. I'm not going to lie, but that story is seriously funked up.
Larxene
Never heard of it. xD The toga part was from a story about a guy named Cincinnatus. Although I've had to read some pretty screwed up stories, and some that were just plain stupid.

Amethyst Phoenix
I never read the story but the name rang a bell:Oedipus Complex is when the son wants to kill the father and err.....lets just say it turns out somewhat better for the mother. Davok
That's the story of Oedipus. The king of Thebes went to an oracle who said that their son will kill his father and marry his mother. The king dumps Oedipus on a hillside to die, he's found by a shepherd who takes him to another kingdom, Oedipus is raised in the kingdom thinking he's the son of the king of that kingdom. Oedipus then goes traveling, kills his father (didn't know that it was his father) killed the Sphinx and married his mother.
