Brushfire Posted July 19, 2008 Report Share Posted July 19, 2008 To those who are going to go "think of your own ideas pl0x": I will, I just keep a root before making the tree :) Anyways, I really want to write a Harry Potter fan-fiction, after giving up on my old ones a while go. However, I am stuck for Plot ideas. What I know: I want it from an OC's (Original Character's) POV (Point Of View).I want him to go to Hogwarts or another Magical school from Year 1.I'd like a few unique ideas. It could show the rebuild of the school, plus with some teaching staff missing (Snape, DD, + Others) you could make new teachers to fill their shoes. As he goes insane he begins to comptemplate all types of horrible murders and sees these ghosts (that aren't real but rather a figment of his imagination) of people that he knew in the past. Then holloween comes around the corner and he invites all the trick or treaters inside and pulls their smallest bones out and puts then on a neckelace. Then the cops find him and he goes the jail and commits suicide while in jail. Call it "The Children's Neckelace" A real horror/suspense thriller. However I'm not really sure how that would be a fan-fic. More like a novel. EDIT:________*oh you want it to be harry potter related...*:| I have no clue as far as that goes. Instead, make a character yourself, but let it be friends with those characters. Also, I get to choose what house Severus is in, I was thinking of making him a Hufflepuff, to be different. Any ideas on that? Well done, you can highlight! Setting:If I were you, which I'm not, I'd focus on the other schools. Preferably Durmstrang, as we only have a vague idea of there that place is located. (Methinks somewhere up in northern Scandinavia, which apparently = Germany.) Beauxbatons is so obviously French it's not even funny, and Hogwarts is just SO over-exploited for now. Even if Dj's point is unoriginal, and has been used many times before, he still put effort into typing it. I was thinking Drumstrang, but it focus' too much on the Dark Arts, so I was thinking of making my own school :/ maybe in Hawaii or Austrailia... Dead parents = Fail. No way I'm doing that.Destiny = Fail. I won't give him an idiotic destiny.Regular Kid = Hmm... I'll make him regular, but I still have to make it interesting. New sport(unnamed): Focused mainly around using wands on your broom while flying. Includes Dragons in the arena with you; needs more depth. New Spell: Magnetcio; all metal objects fly to where-ever your wand is pointed. New Class: Spell Creation: Class starts in Year 6, it is a 2-year course, and it is optional. I'm thinking of making 2 other classes to go with it, so they have to choose between the 3. The class name kinda tells you the description; you make your own spells.
