It's their life' date=' let them drink if they want to. TBH, that's all their is to it. There's no debate, just a choice which every person has to make for themselves.

How could you possibly say that smoking in public is bad but drinking isn't...? Drunks are the worst people on this planet. They are the equivalency to a woman constantly going through her period. They have weird mood-swings and think they can open up to you :|.

Lol! Sig'd.

Hm.

Anyway.

Drunks are some of the worst people around' date=' however, I believe it has a psychological aspect on the drinkers as well.

I mean, if you want to escape your current life, but not lose it, you'd want to get to the level of disorientation were you feel care-free and confident.

Drinking helps that.

It also helps kill you in a way, but eh, if things weren't so forbidden, people wouldn't feel encouraged to do them. At least, it's how I see it. =/.

It all goes back to that person, BUT, in Australia, we've got those "2 glasses" or whatever rules to help prevent Alcoholism, and drink driving.

But you must always remember, if you drink less than Dragonforce, your probably okay.

Water is important to one's living' date='therefore one have to drink all the time.

But they should limit themselves on how much they can drink.

Lawl.

I'd personally like to extend my kudos' to Raviel for bringing water into an Alcohol debate.

^_^.

Water's necessary, but you can get water from pretty much any fluid you drink.

I lived a week off soft drink once, didn't die, just put on 5 pounds.

=/.

We can't "limit ourselves" on what we drink.

Our brain controls our body, and essentially, we control the brain.

We're the hierarchy in our bodies, and decide what consumption at what levels happen.

Which brings around the same conclusion.

It's all up to the consumer.

Why hasnt anyone brought up anything about underage drinking? I think its something that needs to be addressed.

Because it's all included in what's being discussed.

Age hasn't been addressed' date=' I agree, but it doesn't have to be. ;'].

It's all about are those who drink out of control, or is drinking by anyone become out of control. Minors do drink, but hell, it's usually because their parents allow it.

=/.

Thus, they'd drink rather responsibly/Rarely.

Minors who don't drink to that scale are usually drop-kicks anyway.

O.o".

I've still yet to understand why people need alcohol to have fun, but that's just me, will never touch the stuff.

In moderation some drinks (mainly Wines) can be good for you. In excess and constant excess bye bye Liver, and Kidneys.

No one will ever clamp too hard on it the governments need the money, but when you can buy alchohol for next to nothing its crazy, and when it costs a hell of alot to put right in terms of health issues as well as police resources it pointless. The UK is awful for binge drinking (and about everything else...)
