Wow, both of you are horribly wrong, except in one of those choices...

 

1. Why attack old gaming consoles? That's just pointless, this was new ground for them, no reason to attack them.

2. If you're saying PS3 sucks simply for game selection reasons, you're a tool. Most developers and spec analysts agree that the PS3 = a beast.

3. The only correct statement made was the N-Gage. That was pure crap wrapped up into a phone to try and take the ignorant gamers of their money.

I believe you've confused the Atari 5200, which sucked, with the Atari 2600, which was the opposite of suck.

 

Also, since the Phantom TECHNINCALLY never came out, you really can't count it as bad, just unreleased. But everything else there makes sense, although I personally think the ordering's kinda off. But again, that's simply my opinion.

They actually sold less than the 360. And the main reason they sold as many as they did was because it was so chea (250$...:|).

 

Xbox 360:

-Better Graphics

-More shoot 'em up game titles

-DVD Player

-CD Player

-Xbox Live

-Online Capabilities

 

Wii:

-Wireless control/sensors

-Online capabilities

-Cheaper Price

 

Honestly, compare the two.

The only real reason I bought a wii was for LoZ: TP and Wii Boxing.

Dude theres no question Atari made some of the worst problems in video game history and it's a no brainier that The Jaguar and 5200 stunk bad, so bad that Atari doesn't make consoles anymore. May I mention the game E.T.

2) I personally think the Wii sold that much because Nintendo geared it more toward the casual gamers, which completely outnumber the competetive/serious ones. I still love my Wii, though.

3)Let's not turn this into a "OMG!! *insert 7th gen console* TOTALLY PWNS *insert another 7th gen console*!!1!1" discussion. We'll save that for another time. :D

No. It was a good system, but sold poorly. Was easily outclassed by the PS2. Nontheless, it was still a good system. But it was never given the chance to shine.

I say PS3 is worst in modern gaming. The way I look at it:

XBox360

Wii

PS3 (only good for Blu-ray :|)

 

In overall gaming I will say whatever console released that game that had dancing michael jackson (I forget the title and the console).

Shoot 'em ups are more fun than other types.

It may have been the weirdest idea for a game (today, anyways), but it is not even close to worst. Hell, it really can't be considered bad. I've played it, it's actually not that bad. With the exception of the dancing and spazztastic kicking and such, it can get a little boring, though.

you fagot MAC ROCKS i've had my mac pro for a copal years now i HAVE NOT HAD ONE VIROUS wen i had a pc that thing was cramed with virouses even with all the fire walls i put up and i didn't real down load any thing except new patces for call of duty 4 and my other games.....there for mac rocks and pc's except war machine my games machine (yes i have two computers) and the xbox 360 sucks! and ps3 rocks

PS3=Lame. The only thing it is even good for, the only reason I would even buy it (which I haven't), is because it has blu-ray. Wii and Xbox are both better.

 

But seriously we should end the discussion about the newer consoles exclusively. :|

1. Wii games

2. Backwards compatable with Gamecube games

3. Virtual Console

4. WiiWare

 

Also, Wii has its share of quality games:

 

1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl

2. Mario Kart Wii

3. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

4. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

5. Super Mario Galaxy

 

And if you want a shoot em up the Wii's got it share:

1. Any Metroid Prime game, especially the first

2. either the original RE4 or the Wii Version

3. and I'm guessing the upcoming game Mad World

I'm talking about real shoot 'em up games with a good story line AND violence like:

-Gears of War

-Metal Gear Solid

-Halo (1,2,3)

-Half-Life (1,2)

etc...

 

Personally I'm not a big fan of the games with mario and such characters in them. I'm also not that much of a fan of the Super Smash Bros. series (sue me). Idk I guess I like more M rated games (with LoZ excluded). So naturally I'm not a huge fan of the wii ware, none of the downloadable games are M rated.

 

I also don't find the Internet channel very appealing. It's browser (opera) I see as being very...well bad. And not good bad, but bad bad.

 

Naturally because of the earlier statement of me liking M rated games mainly, I'm not a big fan of the GameCube. It had a few games that I liked, and I only have one non M rated game for it (the sims).

 

To me the Wii will always be the second worst of the new consoles. However it will also be the second best of the new consoles. So honestly don't take it to offense.

I say that the Sega-CD is the worst console that was ever released :|

PS3 can have its hi-def games (maybe 2 of which are good; and really, most of PS3's good games share consoles and are better on the 360), and 360 can have its multiple explosions and gun tutorials, but I actually enjoy innovation and originality in my games, kthnx.

 

The PS3 had to be Sony's most collosal mistake.
