EDIT: The council evaluated the nominations, so what you can do now is giving your vote for one of the top 4 nominees in the categories you missed or left out. I'm PMing all of you right now to inform you of the nominations you submitted which were not valid.

 

That’s right, your eyes are not deceiving you. After the last Awards died because people stopped voting and Omegawave didn’t evaluate the results, I thought about giving a new chance to new, seeing that people still seem to care about that matter.

Before I decided to launch out into this however I contacted one of the former council members and I ran a research about the history of the Awards, which, to say the least, turned out to be a very interesting one filled with lots of ups and downs. Click here and here for more information.

Alas I know I will never be able to revive them to their initial splendour, but at least I will attempt to carry on the tradition and bring it closer to what the veterans call the newer generation of the forum.

 

To your pleasure or disappointment, depends on how you see it, my weirdness will host these Awards, but it’s also an honour to present you the new council I assembled which will diplomatically discuss and decide upon any issues which may arise related to the Awards.

So why did she decide to dig this up, you may ask? Well it’s not because I’m such a necormaniac, but I think it’s nice to reward and honor at least some of the people who contribute effectively to this site and help making it a pleasant place to spend time at. I also liked the concept, which is why I’m going to stick with a considerable part of it, aside from a few changes.

 

So it will work according to the following plan and rules (but of course the staff team can always edit anything they deem irresponsible or non-sense):

 

Phase 1: Nominations

*) From today the 8th to Thursday the 14th you can nominate people for the different categories. Your nominations will later account for your votes for the certain category/ies you choose to post in. *

*)You cannot nominate yourself for any awards. This also counts for the new Club/Organization category, where you are free to nominate a club you’re in, but please don’t submit one you created yourself.

*) You can nominate someone who is already nominated (This just counts as another vote for that person).

*) You cannot nominate the same member for more than 3 different categories.

*) You cannot change your nominations. If you feel unsure about one or some cateories, you are free to leave a blank space.

*) You do not have to post any nominations. It is also possible to vote later on without having participated to the nominations process.

 

*The reason why this nomination phase is so long is that I will be abroad from the 12th to the 15th, but I do believe that the other council people will watch this thread well during my absence. I know I could have stated the Awards when I return, but the 16th would seem a bit late for me. I will also give you more time to make up your mind then.

 

Saturday the 16th

On this day we will count the votes and evaluate the top 4 nominess of each category. No nominations or votes are allowed, therefore I will ask Browarod or DJ to lock the thread only for this day.

*) From Friday the 22th to the 26th you can give your votes, but only to the top 4 nominees from each category. The names of these members will be written in bold.

*)You cannot vote for yourself for any awards. This also counts for the new Club/Organization category, where you are free to vote for a club you’re in, but please don’t submit one you created yourself.

*) You cannot vote for the same member in more than 3 different categories.

*) You cannot change your votes. If you feel unsure about one or some cateories, you are free to leave a blank space.

There will also be one lucky voter who will get a rep, too.

 

 

You can nominate or vote for anyone you want to, except for banned members. Try to avoid biased submittions, though and just supporting your best "friend" in everything won´t bring much to anyone. Friends can be honored in the "Best Friend" section I added for this reason.

Also don´t become too fanatic about this thread. It´s only about virtual awards and you can still be a good member without getting many nominations or votes. Maybe the next time will offer you a chance...
