The_Prince_of_Death
the government never reveals the whole truth. heck if the government did tell the whole truth then we would either not have any energy source except oil and solar or the world would be dead. Yeah but at the same time they can't keep a lid on everything, information about other fuels they have will get leaked
The_Prince_of_Death
true, and many people know the government is selfish. the government probably already discovered fusion by now, but they are still testing it.

The_Prince_of_Death
true, not even water powered dams are sure. the possibility of a drought causes that.

The_Prince_of_Death
yes too bad they can't. they should actually inform the public a little more than they already do.

The_Prince_of_Death
I can think of the many possibilities they are trying to use, but the list is short (as stated in my last post) those are the noly ones I can think of at the moment. ragnarok1945
I never said the list has to be long, but there are too many secrets being kept from the public, including alternative fuels. Soon this will backfire

The_Prince_of_Death
true, they would rather go to space and live than wait for the world to end with them on it. but that also brings up another problem. what about the racing and shuttle launches? racing depletes the oil and the same goes for space shuttles. ragnarok1945
again, they'd have already discovered a new form of fuel in which cannot be consumed that quickly

ragnarok1945
of course not, that's something they'd hide from the public until it's too late to matter or something
PrometheusMFD
of course not' date=' that's something they'd hide from the public until it's too late to matter or something[/quote'] Y-you both know that the source of energy is the sun, right? All "fuel" merely stores it. Besides, you have Nuclear (best we've got), Fusion (one can hope, + it is billions of watts stronger than Solar), Hydrogen (bad idea), Hydroelectric (meh, not that great), Solar (crap), Wind (even worse than solar), Coal (I love the smell), "Clean Coal" (less smell but still good), Oil (a biggy), and Geothermal (... geocentral). That is it.
ragnarok1945
wind is crap because we don't have a way to effectively harness is for the time being. All energy sources start off in such a way
PrometheusMFD
Wind is crap because wind is inconsistant, and it takes up farmland.Solar is crap because of clouds and it heats the Earth up... and it takes up desert lands.

ragnarok1945
give wind some time, Prometheus. Back in the 50s that's what we initially said on nuclear due to the radiation problems, but that problem was solved quickly. Sometimes efficient energy sources don't have quick solutions to them, you know.
