Umbra
Yes, naturally. Most fanfics use characters from the source material, A.K.A canon characters.

cerberus21
What if some of are chapters are PG-13, and others are PG-16? Should we rate each chapter, or would the fan fic be PG-16?
shiko11
What if some of are chapters are PG-13' date=' and others are PG-16? Should we rate each chapter, or would the fan fic be PG-16?[/quote'] I think you should just make it pg-16, because if a 13 year old reads the 13+ chapter, hell prob read 16+ anyways. so if I were u, I'd make it 16+
Mehmani
This might become a Spamfest, it should be locked.

TurboTom
I have a little question guys. I'm planning on making a Fan Fic, but I'm also running an RP too. So when I've finished planning this Fan Fic and I try to make a Thread to post the story, does that mean I need to lock my RP, or will I be able to keep this open?
Umbra
Nope. You will be able to have both threads open at any given time.
Kaisu
Okay, can I request a rule against FANFICS WITH SCRIPT FORMAT?It's seriously annoying when reading them. Also, it goes against the purpose of writing.RolePlaying, is okay. But FANFICS!?
bury the year
Okay' date=' can I request a rule against FANFICS WITH SCRIPT FORMAT?It's seriously annoying when reading them. Also, it goes against the purpose of writing.RolePlaying, is okay. But FANFICS!?[/quote'] I was just going to say this. Scripts are for movies and TV. No book is ever written in script format, so why should we accept it? It removes almost all description and intrigue from the story as well.

It removes almost all description and intrigue from the story as well. i tend to agree.. the creative word only spills out when there is more than a few paragraphs of descriptors and all the rest dialogue.. scripts/screenplays are irritating to try and enjoy, since they are supposed to be guidelines for something that we will end up watching in the near future. i would agree with the above posts on this new rule, should it be enacted. I could care less if it happened, however. ;)
Altαir
I have made a Fan Fic, and it is technically going to be more than one story. These storys are only related in setting and the main character's goal. One Story (The stories go in sequence, so Story 1 is before all other stories, Story 2 is before all other stories except Story 1, etc.) can affect the other, but they all start with seperate prolouges and end with seperate epilouges. Would I have to post these stories seperate, or can they all be in one post?
Kaisu
They would be in one post, because the're more like 'books'.Well, that's what I think. And could Dealer Umbra please reply to my/Rinne's/Kale's request for banning script format?
Altαir
Script Format? Isn't that for television shows and such? Script Format is literature, but it is more of a play then fiction. Unless they want to state that it is Script Format because of the theme...
