Besides' date=' trading passwords isn't against the rules.

Trading passwords qualifies as double accounting: One person using more than one account.

Henceforth, it's against the rules.

I both agree and disagree.

One would presume that double accounting is creating two accounts.

However, your theory is also correct.

Well, half of YCM should be banned now, then. =/

One would presume wrong then' date=' since it isn't. Double accounting is HAVING two accounts, not CREATING two accounts.

Then now half of YCM should be banned. Simple IP check can see who has "double accounted".

I've personally used proxies for all my double accounts, and have admitted multiple times on the forums to having more than anyone else on the site, and no ones done anything to me about it, I even got one validated by an S mod when he knew it was me who made it.

So IP check does nothing to the smart ones.

Also, having two accounts is different than using two accounts. There is no rule against sharing them, and it is that of the original owners who still technically owns it, and not the people who could use it. If I made an account called "Hilarious noobcake" and used it (or not used it, thats not the point), I am breaking a rule.

However, if Frlf were to tell me his password, and I were to use his account, it is still technically his account, and I am not having or owning two accounts of my own, I am borrowing one for a temporary amount of time, and thus not breaking a rule.

Bah, reword the rule and this issue gets resolved immediately. (change "having" to "using.")

And issue dies right there.

p.s. We know we could take your word for it, but that's no fun for us :(
