Okay, I'm going to bring this up.

 

I'm doing this now because I'm not just going to mind my own business anymore.

 

Of course, this is mostly because my business is no longer my business.

 

Apparently I'm "too irresponsible" to man my forum, so my privileges have been revoked.

 

I honestly see no connection between some chat in General and enforcing the rules on my turf.

 

In any case, this isn't the point.

 

I'm not here to talk about the unreasonable "higher up" that ruled against me.

 

I'm here to talk about the staff team as a whole.

 

I feel that is proper that I can do this now, since I am no longer a member of the staff team.

 

Thus, since I'm longer responsible, I feel it's perfectly fine for me to criticize it.

 

First of all, I haven't been unemployed for even a day, and people have already started spamming in TCG.

 

Crab Helmet is completely failing at his job; he isn't enforcing the rules, and is hardly tough enough against "criminals."

 

Of course, this is only TCG I'm talking about.

 

As a matter of fact, most forums are fine.

 

The ones that I have problems with are General and the Card forums.

 

Noobs are still spamming like crazy in both of them, and the new moderators are completely ineffective.

 

Noobs offend and offend again, with no decrease in the amount of spam.

 

I'm thoroughly disgusted with the lax enforcement of (sometimes non-existent) policies.

 

As a last point, moderators must be logical and emotionless in their actions.

 

Overreacting to criticism and rebelliousness is ridiculous, but I can safely say this occurs a fair share.

 

SLAP YOURSELVES IN THE FACE AND GET SOME BALLS.

 

YOU ARE MEN FOR GOD'S SAKES.

 

I'm absolutely SICK of all the pansies we have running this joint.

 

EDIT: Let people talk about Draco.

 

Why delete the threads and ban the members?

 

They're doing nothing wrong; rather, it's your fault, as a whole, for not presenting your statements in a concise manner.

 

Please do not be difficult make us look for it; you might have that kind of time to waste, but we don't.

 

tl;dr:

  • 1. General and Card Forums still suck, even with new moderators.
    2. Rules are not enforced brutally enough, hence repeat offenses.
    3. Moderators (including most other men on this site) need to get some balls and toughen up.
    4. Draco is an pretty cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything.
    5. 2008.10.14

 

Don't try to use any of this against me; I'm not a staff member anymore.

I wouldn't use the term "brutally" but I do see where you are getting at :?...

To the last one though, if he was such a cool guy. He would let his ego for this site die, and just leave it alone...

Now, Tea's obviously said what needs to be said, I think I'll do it a little more specifically.

 

YCMaker: "Let's create a forum. Yeah. Cools. We can have a Moderator team. Coolies. We can even have a SUPER MODERATOR! team. This is just, so super-dooper cool. Wai-What? I'm actually supposed to Administrate my own forum? Oh. Crap. =(." It's been said before, you appear to be the most inactive admin I've seen on a somewhat popular forum. However, I caught sight of an old argument you had with Draco. You specifically said you were doing so much behind the scenes, you weren't insufficient at your responsibility at all. Then said, I officially declare you suck at for-fronting whatever you're doing. You're inconsistent with the public that converse here. Seriously, it's like a General of an army not sharing his plans with his troops. The troops go about their business, but all the while, they have absolutely NO FREAKING IDEA about what the future holds. It leads to distrust, criticism from the ones you're supposed to be the "top-dog" of. Basically, the state of the forum as of now. =). Enjoy.

 

Actually, that's my only beef, since everything else has gotten to the point where you just cease to bother.

 

The Moderating choices, the Moderators performance, the ones who've been banned/left, it's all just gotten to be definable by the term: "Screwed."

I actually hope this post get's me punished, since it'll show some sort of activity besides the simple locking of threads.

Seriously. I've been waiting for that evidence of his banning for about 2 months now. It's probably in the mail, right? =|.

 

Don't fix the forum, ffs. No one seems to care in the slightest. Let's live blissfully ignorant, right? It should work out if it's meant to.

 

If anyone applies that logic, stop dead and continue banging your head on a rock.

 

This will get locked for questioning something that's been labeled as "Unquestionable", more than likely. Doesn't matter. The fact that this keeps being brought up should have registered something pretty damn acutely into those with power's heads.

I like this point so I will elaborate.

 

Why WAS TCG so squeaky-clean?

 

Because I issued PERMANENT WARNINGS, 20% at last update for each offense; three hits will earn you a three-day ban.

 

If you don't enforce seriously, the noobs aren't going to take you seriously.

 

It works both ways.

Another thing is that, why the funk to the keep TotalObelisk as a Moderator? He doesn't do sheet in the CC section anymore. Demote him.

 

And yeah, mods are being too nice here >_>

 

Seriously, the Draco thing is soo old right about now, and it's annoying seeing somebody asking him about again, but that's not a good reason to ban them >_>

That's to demanding.

 

I suggest we get Moderators from different time-zone, that all convert their local time to YCMakers. They input what time in YCMakerLand they'll be on, and we should have pretty good coverage.

 

Not random Moderators everywhere, with this weird blank space of lockage at around 5:00 P.M-8:00 P.M. =/.

 

But that's not the problem.

 

The problem is those who Spam aren't disciplined enough to not Spam in the first place.

 

Ie: The Moderators are being to slack. Too loose. They lack judgment as to when they should warn.

 

Tea didn't, and she did it with fury.

 

You with us so far? You've got to go to the source of the problem, instead of attacking the result. =).

What..... The...funk? I wake up this morning to find this bought up? What the hell do you think i've been trying to do behind the scene regarding CC? Me and a few oter Mods have mentioned hiring a third Custom Cards Moderator to make sure we have good coverage. Seriously, you expect me to be on all the dam time hen I hae a life, YCM is just a small Hobby for me and I will NOT let it become my main Focal Point. In regards to me being a "Pansie" I lock as many Topics as I can and issue a Warning when it sems appropiate, (Hell ive even Banned 3 People since i've been a Mod) Want to know why i'm not more tough? Because the moment I would up my game I would be accused of "Abusing my Power"

 

Tea Leaf, you are just having a jabroni Fit because your Power were revoked for Verbally Abusing members (Including mydslef) So just DROP IT! As for the rest [of you who think the Mod Team is a disgrace, you try putting 5-7 hours of your life aside per day to Mod a Forum. Not so easy now is it?

Wow. I can see why you were demoted. If you keep spamming you will most likely be banned.

 

I personally think the General Section is doing fine, as I spend most of my time here.

 

You are just mad, because you got demoted. When you were still a mod I thought you were a wrong choice, but this has gone too far. -Rep me all you want, see what I care
