I have no problem with organ donation it is a great and wonderful way to give back.

Question though

How old do you have to be to get paid for donating blood semen and plasma

I believe it may vary in states and countries, however I think 18 is usually the standard.

I'm a regular blood donor in the UK (given 3 times in the last 12 months), in the UK you don't get paid, but we do it because we can. They only take about a litre of blood each time, and you don't donate for another 4 months to get your blood count back up. Before you donate they always check your blood iron and that you're in general good health. So there's never an issue, all I get is a small bruise and a feeling that I'll be part of helping someone. (I'm a rare blood group O- which only 7% of the UK population has) They also make sure you eat and drink something before you leave, and keep pressure off where you did it so you don't keep bleeding (which i did once....for a minute or so), and if you've eaten properly a meal or some iron rich food you're good.

They rarely do Plasma donations where I am, infact I've only ever seen them doing it once where I go, but that just might be the session. Reminds me I need to find out when my work does the next one in Jan and go to collect my coaster =D. My dad has donated blood atleast 35 times, its something we used to do together. (Until Work and other stuff messed it up.) Me and my Dad are also organ donors. Been trying to get a few of my friends to go as well, and people who don't like needles, look away, that's what I do.

Blood and Plasma is for a good cause. I would highly recommend doing it if you are capable.

As far as donating "other" fluids and bodily creations, you have to be at least 18 years old, and pass a screaning process. Not everyone is alloud to just go and "do their business" in the cup and get some quick cash.

Let me warn you, some of the tests that they conduct...are very painful if you are going to be doing that sort of thing.

Well, hope you have fun!
