Obstacle Course Contest (NO MORE CONTESTANTS. THE CONTEST HAS BEGUN!)

Recommended Posts

Hello to all! This is my first attempt at a contest and I hope many will join. This contest will start Thursday, October 30th.

This Contest will consist of (number of contestants - 1) rounds where I will throw a random obstacle at you and everyone will have to make a monster card that would allow them to pass that obstacle (sort of like in the Capsule Monster movie if any of you have seen that). After each round, the maker of the (for lack of a better word, but no offense intended) worst card will be eliminated.

If you wish to participate, just reserve an entry. I do not like entry fees, so I will never require an entry fee of anyone else.

On average, there will be a round every 2 days, but I will PM everyone the due date as it approaches as well.

The end date is always changing as I don't know how many people will join or how long each round will take.

Card rating:

1 pt - Name

2 pts - Picture (I will not take off any points for "overused pics." That's a stupid accusation, anyway.)

5 pts - Effect/OCG

2 pts - Balance

10 pts total

Prizes:

1st - 3 reps and 30 points

2nd - 2 reps and 25 points

3rd - 1 rep and 20 points

Anyone eliminated will receive 5 points at the time they are eliminated.

GOOD LUCK!

Entrants:

2. konnie5400

3. MasterKCatMaster

7. jensklots

Round 1 is over.

You are an explorer who has recently been given the gift of being able to transform into any card you have. The only problem is - you have no cards! Your first expedition begins in 30 minutes and you overslept. You missed your plane by hours and you're supposed to be in Africa by now! You need to create a card to turn into so that you can get across the ocean at faster than the speed of sound, or you'll never make it and you'll be fired from the job you love.

Round 2 is over.

Whew! You made it on time, though your fellow explorers are not sure how. After an hour of walking, you reach the cave that you came to explore. You turn on your helmet light and you begin to walk around. It is dark and damp and you can feel that the cave is descending through the Earth. Suddenly, the lights on everyone's helmets go out. There is panic from the rest of your group and you, as the leader, attempt to calm them down, but they won't listen. You know you must get them to calm down or you may attract unwanted attention from any local residents. There is a spare flashlight in everyone's bag, but you cannot find them in the dark. Suddenly, you remember your new power. You tell everyone to drop their bags so you can search through them. They do as you say, but continue to fret and do not understand why you would even attempt to search in the total darkness. You must quickly become something that will allow you to find the flashlights in the complete darkness, or you will be lost forever.

round 2 result written by konnie5400

My mind was at a state of shock when everything whent black. As I remembered the power I have gained I searched my deck, wich was fild with completely new cards for something usefull. I then came across this card. I activated it to see what would happen. As I opened my eyes I saw lights. As I looked at the floor with my electrisaty scanner eyes I saw flashlight shaped objects. I reached for them and gave them to there owners.

Round 3 is over.

Your fellow explorers watch in stunned silence as they see a glow through the darkness. The glow moves towards their supplies and returns to it original position. As it comes to stop, the glow dims and goes out. Moments later, there is a click and a flashlight pierces the darkness. You hand everyone their flashlights in the now lit cave. You and your party continue through the cave, though you notice some people are keeping more of a distance between themselves and you. After another mile, there is a screech and you drop the map you had been creating to keep track of all the turns you had made at various forks in the cave. It bounces down into a narrow crack in the floor and no one on your team is small enough to retrieve it. You must make a card that will be small enough to fit in the crack, but strong enough to retrieve the map. Otherwise, you will all wander aimlessly through the labyrinth of tunnels.

Round 4 has begun!

As you make your retrieval card, you remember that another power was given to you (which probably could have helped in the past). If you throw a card, the card will transform into whatever it is, but you cannot transform into anything until you get it back. To hide your power, you take out the card and reach as far as you can into the crack. You then throw the card at the map, which transforms before your and only your eyes. Your monster retrieves the map and you stand with the map grasped in your hand. As you continue through the labyrinth, you come to a giant cavern. Now highly interested, you and your fellow explorers waste no time in entering. You will soon learn to regret it. As you approach the center of the cave, you see a light out of the corner of your eye and you know it shouldn't be there. You yell at everyone to get back, just as a red-hot flame hits the stone in front of you. At the center of the blast, you can see the stone beginning to melt, but you are distracted from the heat when a great beast lands ten feet in front of you. It spreads its wings and roars in your face, marking its territory and letting you know that you have invaded it. The dragon leans back in preparation for another breath of fire. You need to make a monster card that can defeat the dragon you encountered. In addition, there is no time to move out of the way of the flame, so you need to make an equip spell card (or trap that equips) with the ability to deflect flames.

Cards are due by Wednesday, November 12th at 4:00 pm EST. Get to those cards, everyone!

Hi Konnie, I've seen you in a lot of threads. Oh, and good job on the 17 kills Flinsbon. I killed 10 as Pit (who I am not good as) by flying under the course from one end to the other over and over so that guys would jump off after me, killing themsleves.
