You guys said something evolved into the chicken. While I do believe in evolution I think the first one didn't evolve during its lifetime it layed an egg and that was the first chicken. Here's why: Dinosaurs laid eggs and eventually evolution takes place so it could have started as a dino egg but it adapted and caused evolution so it had feathers and if you think I'm just an idiot, you may be right but I've seen a pig that was covered in a thick ginger fur in the newspaper. It would have happened through evolution, therefore some sort of dinosaur (or half-dinosaur, half-chicken) would've laid the egg. But technically it'd still be a dinosaur egg (sorta), even though it'd be a chicken inside. Depends on your point of view really. But I'm gonna say the egg was first.
