Grammar is a good thing.

Notice, that is an entirely different animal than:

gramer isa goo dtng!!!!!!!11!!!1!1!!1!1!

I think Mods should know how to write legible sentences. They don't have to be master craftsmen. They don't have to be able to diagram a sentence. (Though it's pretty sad if they can't, assuming that we're employing Mods that are at least old enough to have received a High School education.) They just need to take the time to spell at least the majority of the words in any particular sentence correctly, as well aas use proper capitalization and punctuation.

Also, tonisanoob needs to learn how to speak.

Yes' date=' I am completely aware of that.

But just because it is the internet and nobody knows who we truly are, doesn't mean we have to resort to the blithering idiots (such as those who designed Sony batteries and power cords) that also access this grand product of humen design.

You spelt 'human' wrong. That's not good grammar. Go take a SAT to prove that you belong on a children's card forum.

Mod team is a JOB. In most jobs' date=' you are expected to have flawless comprehension of your language. So, why not here?

tl;dr

I support.

[/quote']

No

In a job you get paid.

This is voluntary, therefore, its volunteer work, on OUR own time.

Not exactly my point.

Volunteers usually can do the job, regardless of what the hirer thinks. Here, you have been selected by YCMaker and the previous mods personally. Therefore, they expect something out of you, and you should respect that by at least having the care to use proper spelling.

There! I fixed it! Geeze, 1 mistake! I am only humen!

Wait... ah damn it!

But anyway, the mods would be able to make mistakes (like I did. Hey, I'm not a hypocrite) but illegible posts just won't do

You forgot a word (but I fixed it)

And Mods are representative of the entire site. If they have poor grammar, it reflects badly on the site and shows people on the outside that YCMaker is a blithering (I love that word) moron for giving the mods any power.

What does this say about America' date=' when the dominant race cannot even wield its language effectively?

[/quote']

Look at her, a prisoner of the gutter,

Condemned by every syllable she ever uttered.

By law she should be taken out and hung,

For the cold-blooded murder of the English tongue.

Aaoooww!

Aaoooww!

Heaven's! What a noise!

This is what the British population,

Calls an elementary education.

Oh,

Counsel, I think you picked a poor example.

Did I?

Hear them down in Soho square,

Dropping "h's" everywhere.

Speaking English anyway they like.

You sir, did you go to school?

Wadaya tike me for, a fool?

No one taught him 'take' instead of 'tike!

Why can't the English teach their children how to speak?

This verbal class distinction, by now,

Should be antique. If you spoke as she does, sir,

Instead of the way you do,

Why, you might be selling flowers, too!

Hear a Yorkshireman, or worse,

Hear a Cornishman converse,

I'd rather hear a choir singing flat.

Chickens cackling in a barn Just like this one!

Garn!

I ask you, sir, what sort of word is that?

It's "Aoooow" and "Garn" that keep her in her place.

Not her wretched clothes and dirty face.

Why can't the English teach their children how to speak?

This verbal class distinction by now should be antique.

If you spoke as she does, sir, Instead of the way you do,

Why, you might be selling flowers, too.

An Englishman's way of speaking absolutely classifies him,

The moment he talks he makes some other

Englishman despise him.

One common language I'm afraid we'll never get.

Oh, why can't the English learn to set

A good example to people whose

English is painful to your ears?

The Scotch and the Irish leave you close to tears.

There even are places where English completely

disappears. In America, they haven't used it for years!

Why can't the English teach their children how to speak?

Norwegians learn Norwegian; the Greeks have taught their

Greek. In France every Frenchman knows

his language fro "A" to "Zed"

The French never care what they do, actually,

as long as they pronounce in properly.

Arabians learn Arabian with the speed of summer lightning.

And Hebrews learn it backwards,

which is absolutely frightening.

But use proper English you're regarded as a freak.

Why can't the English,

Why can't the English learn to speak?

Lol, Tea and Crab, you're so cool. :]

Anyway, I doubt that that moderators will completely fix their English. It's like directing all the members of YCM to type in perfect English.

The only solution I see out of this, would be to type up some sort of formal document, that would require the moderators to make their posts a little more understandable.

But then, that might lead into more arguments/conflicts...

Oh well. ;]

By the way, isn't the Writing Section widely considered the worst section of the SAT and the least reliable? A lot of colleges ask not only for your combined score out of 2400 but also for your combined Math/Crit score out of 1600, excluding the Writing section because it's unreliable.

Agreed. [though I'm not a mod]

I hope you're being sarcastic, as your grammar is terrible, though your spelling is fine.
