Obviously, you must create an AMV, but there are certain things you must do:

 

1) The footage may be from anything, but please keep it PG-13.

 

2) The lyrics must also be at least PG-13.

 

3) Only three people may use the same song.

 

4) The AMV may be in two parts, but only if the actual song excedes ten minutes.

 

5) Beta's are allowed mid-contest, but you will need the whole thing by the end.

 

6) You may reserve an entry, but you have to say what song you plan to use as well as the footage.

 

 

Rewards:

1st Place: 3 Reps

2nd Place: 2 Reps

3rd Place: 1 Rep

 

Judging Process:

When you feel you've done enough work, you may post your video here. However, you must also confirm with me on YouTube that it is in fact your video.

 

My YouTube account may be found here.

 

There will be no gradimg scale, I will just decide which videos are the best, but any video uploaded before today will lose their chances of winning.

 

If you wish to judge, PM me or post here.

 

The contest ends on January 1st, but I will extend the deadline if need be.

Thankfully, 4Kids does not own Naruto, Bleach, Code Geass, or Kingdom Hearts. All of those have AMV's on YouTube are not taken down. You can credit the footage also.

 

Dammit I already have 2 amvs of mine but I can't submit them cos they're the wrong anime ><

 

I'll think about entering..

 

Hmm, what are the Anime's? I could let it slide if I like them.

Well, I could add make the Anime's he used legal for the contest if I like what they are.

 

Of course, there is a certain AMV I want to see, and I doubt there aren't any Anime's I can think of that will work.

The series was started on the internet and is technically illegal, so getting "reliable" sources for it is difficult.

 

Short of citing the episodes themselves, which are often deleted (as they are technically illegal), how can one go about proving its existence?

Yeah, you never mentioned, in the PM asking where to post this, about what kind of AMV's you were wanting people to make. Brushfire is right about most of that stuff being copyrighted. I'm afraid you'll have to change the sources of your footage or else cancel the contest. Copyrights are copyrights whether it's DA art or TV animes.

Has anyone heard Queen II? I'd like to see a pair of AMV's featuring Schneizel to "White Queen (As It Began)" and Lelouch to "March of the Black Queen".

 

But as usual, everything is ruined by the Rule Nazis invading Rule Poland and betraying Rule Russia who teams up with Rule Britain and Rule America to invade Rule Germany and maybe attack Rule Japan...

Nononono, Faint is the Rule Nazis, this topic is Rule Poland, and... the United States of Japan protected by the Order of the Black Knights is Rule Japan.

 

Also, I do know about Godwin's Law, before someone mentions it.

I merely said what the footage had to be of. How they acquire, I do not know. Perhaps they can use sites that are meant to upload Anime, such as AnimeKick?

Unfortunately, that site is the same as Youtube in terms of copyright infringement.
