You hear the one about the Frog in the Tree?

Recommended Posts

I think we should take a look at Treeborn Frog.

I mean, why exactly should it be limited anymore?

I had an interesting conversation with someone on AIM.

Chaos Kid 331 (8:14:19 PM): So Treeborn would be fine at 3?

TheLeekMasta (8:15:06 PM): now? Yeah

TheLeekMasta (8:15:12 PM): with 3 Crows in the game?

TheLeekMasta (8:15:13 PM): Sure

TheLeekMasta (8:15:32 PM): I never had a problem with 2 or 3 frogs

TheLeekMasta (8:15:42 PM): well after we got Crow back

TheLeekMasta (8:15:43 PM): XD

TheLeekMasta (8:16:04 PM): it was kinda bad before then

Chaos Kid 331 (8:16:13 PM): Lol

TheLeekMasta (8:16:16 PM): as in painful XD

Taking his opinion into account, I think that Treeborn would be fine at 3 now.

Discuss.

It could be abused with COSR horribly at three.

... I still can't believe that this isn't the stupid post in this topic, and this post is incredibly damn stupid.

Which is easier? Dumping Froggy or searching for Crow? Suicide a Shriek and use Foolish Burial(This is one of many better ways to do this) and you got three of them already. And your opponent shouldn't be losing hand control just to get rid of cheap cards. Also, Imperial Iron Wall?

Samsara works great with Prime, you just need to set some traps to defend it.

[sarcasm]I think it's so awesome that everyone provides reasoning for their answers.[/sarcasm]

We've already established this a million times. Just because a broken card can be countered doesn't mean it should be legal.

Raigeki can be stopped by Anti Raigeki, Magic Jammer, Dark Bribe, Solemn Judgment, Magic Drain, Horus Lv 8, Natural Beast, and presumably a plethora of other cards I'm forgetting. That doesn't mean we'd be stupid enough to unlimit Raigeki.

I think that Chaos Emperor Dragon should be at 3 because, you know, Solemn Judgment is at 3, and so is Horn of Heaven, and so is Divine Wrath, and so is...

arnt you only allowed i treeborn on the feild at a time?

Interesting point' date=' and one that many people frequently overlook. However if you ever have 2 in the grave at once, even a well time D.D. Crow from your opponent won't do anything, because you still have one on the way.

so why couldnt it be at 3 :S

Because it shouldn't be at 1.

Negafrog

(Level 6/WATER/2800/0)

[Aqua / Synchro / Effect]

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner "Frog" monsters

If this card is in either player's Extra Deck, Graveyard, on either side of the field, or is removed from play, both players may play up to 3 "Treeborn Frog" in their Main Deck or Side Deck, regardless of the position of "Treeborn Frog" on the Limited and Forbidden List AND the effects of all "Treeborn Frog" in both player's Graveyards and on either side of the field are negated. Once per turn, you may send 1 "Frog" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Frog" monster from your Graveyard.

That would allow Frog to be at 3.

If this card isn't in your Extra Deck' date=' Graveyard, on the field, or removed from play, your Deck, field, hand, or Graveyard cannot contain "Treeborn Frog". If they do so, you lose the Match. While this card is in your Extra Deck, Graveyard, on the field, or is removed from play, negate the effect(s) of all "Treeborn Frog" in both player's Graveyards and fields. When this card attacks, you may send 1 "Frog" monster from your Deck to your Graveyard to Special Summon 1 "Frog" monster from your Graveyard.

How would the effect of a card that neither player is using be able to decide the match? >_> Also, this turns Treeborn Frog + Creature Swap into a 2-card match win.
