My Dog is Dying.

you have no idea how to give people hope' date=' do you?

[/quote']

Why would we want to give him hope in a situation where no matter how much hope he has, the outcome will be the same? That, giving him false hope only for him to have his dreams dashed, is not the right thing to do.

No, he does know how, which is why he doesn't.

CoryDarkstar isn't really being harsh, he isn't actually saying "It's a dog, get another one." He's just saying that KoD is gonna loose his dog and that he should get over it. Maybe be less friendly than what KoD may want, but it's nearly the same thing that I was saying. I was just being more of a friendly manner friend, telling him tactics on how to move on and to comfort his dog. And CoryDarkstar is saying no different...

We're here to give you support for your dog

Thanks. Lily is so sick, though. I just love her so much and cannot see her pass away from a horrable disease, cancer.

Its gonna die. Then you're gonna be crying as your dad gets a shovel and your mom gets an old sleeping bag.

>.< What's wrong with you?

What's wrong with me? Can't you read? Earlier in the thread I said I went through the same exact thing with my dog Brutus. The most loyal' date=' friendly, luck-go-happy German Shepherd you'd ever see. One day he had an accident inside the house; we dismissed it as a one-off occurence. Then he stayed in the same spot where he was laying for hours on end, eventually puking on the floor. By the time we got him to the vet, it was too late. We had to put him down. You're lucky. You can probably affort to have Lily put down at the vet's office. We had to OD him on cough syrup and bury him in the back woods of Pennsylvania. We burried him in a Power Puff Girls sleeping bag. Don't think I don't know what [b']you[/b] are going through.

EDIT: That's why you never get attached to anything and never hope. You'll only get hurt.

Warning: 1 Sadist reported in your thread.

Ban him? YES NO

I hope he dies while he sleeps (if he must)....it's the most peaceful way.

Aw. :[

Why did you report me? :[

Lily is a she. Not a he.

I know many of you probably don't want to hear about my dog' date=' but I feel so much better when I share some things.[/quote']

You read my mind.

A few days ago my dog's leg was growing a huge bump on it so we went to the veterinarian and they didn't know what it was. We went back a few days later for a few more tests on our dog 'Lily' and the veterinarian told us that out dog' date=' Lily, has an aggressive bone cancer that cannot be cured.[/quote']

And yet you still kept your dog alive?

Now' date=' about a week later, my dog has an even bigger bump and cannot walk. When she has to go to the bathroom we have to lift her outside and hold her so she can do her buisness, it's very sad to watch. Her leg is almost always bleeding and we might have to put her to sleep soon.[/quote']

You should've done it as soon as you found out she had uncurable cancer.

If we do have to put her to sleep soon' date=' it will be after Christmas.[/quote']

ANIMAL CRUELTY.

This is sad because our dog is 14 years old(in dog years)' date=' has arthritis, a heart murmer, she is deaf, and now she has cancer.[/quote']

14 years old? Oh my God, of course she was gonna get sick! Most dogs aren't supposed to even live that long!

And to top it all off' date=' our other dog, Phoebe won't stop bothering Lily and Lily is whining all the time. I love Lily and don't want her to die....[/quote']

Your dog is dieing, it's the end of the world.

If my dog does die soon' date=' then Phoebe will be all alone. Phoebe is only 9 months old and cannot be left alone for 6-10 hours a day.[/quote']

Get another dog.

There is no choice' date=' though. I know most members don't care and they'll post stuff like "We don't care. REPORTED!!!" or whatever, but I had to get this message across.[/quote']

No you didn't.

Don't report it. You'll only hurt yourself.

That makes no sense.

I'm incredably sad to hear this horrable news' date=' and I'm sure you people won't even give a thought about what has happened.[/quote']

I'll probably forget as soon as I go to bed.

This could affect my life...and my stay on YCM.

That's.....pathetic....

I've had family members die, and I've moved on fairly quickly, but your dog dies, and apparently you're going to leave an internet forum for absolutely no logical reason?

Claire, this is kinda sad actually. I know you have lost members of your Family, but it doesn't make you any Cooler than Tiger or anyone else. That post was basically a Troll-a-Thon.

Anyways,

Tiger, I know exactly how you feel.

If she is going to die, try to spend as much time with Lily as you can. I know that your Dog is irreplaceable, but sometimes, Life can't be the way you want it to be.

Just be calm. Usually, I talk to others in Real Life about my Problems, and I feel much better.

If you need anything, let me know :D

Well, some people get Emotional when a Member of their Family/Pet/Someone they know closely pass.

Yes, they should put her to Sleep. They could Amputate, but that'd make her life Miserable. They should just put her to Sleep, but be with her during the last few moments of her life.

I know this crap, since I got a Kitten that died of Namonia(we had to put her asleep right away because we knew there was no cure).

Shanoa, you have a point there.

And sorry bout the Troll thing. I need to learn Terms XD

Claire, lighten up.

Sheesh.

Anyway, Tiger...

...I would recommend spending as much time as you can with your dog during her last few weeks. I wouldn't sit around grieving when I could spend time with someone I love.

I've felt what you're going through right now, and I can understand that this is pretty tough for you right now, but you've seriously gotta pull through.

Try your best to think positive, and remember that you've got a lot of buddies here at YCM that you can talk to either privately or publicly, about anything else that may come up.

Good luck - I know you'll make it through this.

Your friend,

^ Glasstin, great post :D

I think Glasstin just made the Best Post anyone could make here.

Now, I have another thing to say.

David, remember that even though Lily will die, she will always be in your Memories and Dreams. Why don't you get some more memories with her :D

Even if it seems REALLY bad, everything will eventually clear up.

It's good to have Feelings, and it's good to share those Feelings

And Claire, I've been waiting to say this.

BRIGHTEN UP!
