true many people suffer from the same thing everyday it is still always hard to deal with it and even hard to help someone in this time

many people deal with this differently....

but if your dog continues to get worse the best thing for it is sometimes to put it down so it doesn't suffer....

your choice is yours.

It's not going to be comfortable no matter what you do.

I've had things like this happen to my pets before. I had a cat once, he had a seizure a few years ago. He ended up going completely blind and deaf, and he couldn't go to the bathroom.

I knew it was suffering, so we put it to sleep so it wouldn't have to live like that until it just keeled over one day.

We've had to do that to several of our cats over the years...

It's the best thing to do.

I am not trying to be horrible or anything but if that dog were mine, i'd ask for it to be put down. My nanna had a cat for 22 years and it had the same thing your dog has but on her face. We asked for her to be put down so that she wouldnt have to go through all of the pain.

Don't get me wrong I loe all dogs with my heart and more but I would hate to see it suffer and hurt all the time.

You do not have to do this and it was just a suggestion to help put your dog out of it's pain. I'm sorry if I sounded at all bad or horrible but I do not like to see or hear about any dogs suffer.

I myself has had my fai share of dogs (5) and 3 of them have died. Not to mention my cats >.<

I am so sorry to hear about it though and I hate to see dogs in pain.

Yes. We would put Lily to sleep if that was the case, but it's not. Lily can eat, go to the bathroom, and drink. She is doing well. She has been deaf for who knows how many years.

I know many of you probably don't want to hear about my dog' date=' but I feel so much better when I share some things. A few days ago my dog's leg was growing a huge bump on it so we went to the veterinarian and they didn't know what it was. We went back a few days later for a few more tests on our dog 'Lily' and the veterinarian told us that out dog, Lily, has an aggressive bone cancer that cannot be cured. Now, about a week later, my dog has an even bigger bump and cannot walk. When she has to go to the bathroom we have to lift her outside and hold her so she can do her buisness, it's very sad to watch. Her leg is almost always bleeding and we might have to put her to sleep soon. If we do have to put her to sleep soon, it will be after Christmas. This is sad because our dog is 14 years old(in dog years), has arthritis, a heart murmer, she is deaf, and now she has cancer.

Didn't you say that you dog cannot walk and the huge growth is always bleeding? If it's right, then how can the dog be fine?

So in that case it's not THAT dark as it seems to be

Your dog is not "doing well."

Not to mention the fact that this statement just says that she can't go to the bathroom on her own.

At least my cat could walk, unlike your poor dog, and my other cat was actually guiding it along whenever it tried to go get something to eat.

I feel bad for your dog, but I feel no sympathy for you.

Claire owns this thread.

Put it to sleep if you love her.

If I was in coma / had a strong cancer, I'd like just to be set to sleep in peace, and not to suffer.

I had a dog that was very sick and old, and we were going to take her to sleep because she was going to suffer a lot, thus the disease wasn't developed in her body. One day I was in the kitchen, and I saw how my dog went out by the gate of my house by the garage, then I saw how a car hitted her and she died.

I tought two things:

1- We wouldn't need to spend money on the sleep thingy.

2- She died and wouldn't suffer now.

Call me heartless, but I will agree with Clariex on ''ANIMAL CRUELTY''. MAN SHE CAN'T EVEN PEE BY HERSELF.

You read my mind.

A few days ago my dog's leg was growing a huge bump on it so we went to the veterinarian and they didn't know what it was. We went back a few days later for a few more tests on our dog 'Lily' and the veterinarian told us that out dog' date=' Lily, has an aggressive bone cancer that cannot be cured.[/quote']

And yet you still kept your dog alive?

Now' date=' about a week later, my dog has an even bigger bump and cannot walk. When she has to go to the bathroom we have to lift her outside and hold her so she can do her buisness, it's very sad to watch. Her leg is almost always bleeding and we might have to put her to sleep soon.[/quote']

You should've done it as soon as you found out she had uncurable cancer.

If we do have to put her to sleep soon' date=' it will be after Christmas.[/quote']

ANIMAL CRUELTY.

This is sad because our dog is 14 years old(in dog years)' date=' has arthritis, a heart murmer, she is deaf, and now she has cancer.[/quote']

14 years old? Oh my God, of course she was gonna get sick! Most dogs aren't supposed to even live that long!

And to top it all off' date=' our other dog, Phoebe won't stop bothering Lily and Lily is whining all the time. I love Lily and don't want her to die....[/quote']

Your dog is dieing, it's the end of the world.

If my dog does die soon' date=' then Phoebe will be all alone. Phoebe is only 9 months old and cannot be left alone for 6-10 hours a day.[/quote']

Get another dog.

There is no choice' date=' though. I know most members don't care and they'll post stuff like "We don't care. REPORTED!!!" or whatever, but I had to get this message across.[/quote']

No you didn't.

Don't report it. You'll only hurt yourself.

That makes no sense.

I'm incredably sad to hear this horrable news' date=' and I'm sure you people won't even give a thought about what has happened.[/quote']

I'll probably forget as soon as I go to bed.

This could affect my life...and my stay on YCM.

That's.....pathetic....

I've had family members die' date=' and I've moved on fairly quickly, but your dog dies, and apparently you're going to leave an internet forum for absolutely no logical reason?

[/quote']

Your a freak. If you don't want to hear about it, DON'T COME HERE!!!
