Well since it is a fire monster, it will have 4000, and then for a low cost, it can attack twice? You could kill your opponent with an attack from this card, making it overpowered. The 1000 ATK boost only lasts for a turn and the only way this monster can get it is if it's Special Summoned from the Graveyard or from out of play. That means you would need a Spell or Trap b/c very few monsters have an effect that could Summon it in such a way as to give it the boost; and we all know how easy it is to stop a spell or trap. I think that making the boost so hard to attain, balances it out a good bit. As for the Level: BEWD is a Level 9 and has the same ATK and its DEF is only 300 points higher AND it's a normal monster.
