Well heres my attempt at a spellcaster. I got the idea for this card after looking at the new Spellcaster Structure deck. :D I hope you like it, and I intend on adding more to this list in the near future.

 

 

Light Magician (Light)

Level: 7

Spellcaster/Effect

Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on this card. (Max 4) By removing 4 Spell Counters from this card you may add 1 Spell Card from your graveyard to your hand.

Level: 9

Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect

1 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner LIGHT Spellcaster-Type monsters

When this monster is sucessfully Synchro Summoned return all Spell Cards in both players graveyard to their respective decks. Place 1 Spell Counter on a card(s) you control for each card returned to your deck by this effect.

Select 1 face-up Spellcaster-Type monster you control. Destroy it and distribute Spell Counters equal to its Level among face up card(s) you control.

Apprentice Light Magician (Light)

Level: 4

Spellcaster/Effect

Each time you or your opponent activates 1 Spell Card, put 1 Spell Counter on this card (max. 3). By Tributing this card with 3 Spell Counters on it, Special Summon 1 "Light Magician" from your hand, Deck, or Graveyard. If this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard place all spell counters on this card onto a face up card on your side of the field.

Spell Barrage

Spell (Normal)

You can only activate this card when there is a Spellcaster-Type monster(s) on your side of the field. Inflict 200 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points for each Spell Counter on your side of the field. If this card is in the Graveyard, you can add this card to your hand instead of conducting your normal draw during your Draw Phase.

Any ideas on how to make it less powerful? Like maybe instead of adding to hand add them to deck?

 

Its the exact the oppisite of Dark Magician ^^.

 

Actually its the exact opposite of the Arkana style Dark Magician in every form even its Serial Number lol.

it will be okay if you make it 5 or 6... adding spells from your graveyard to your hand is being treated as an overpowered efect lately.

why did they have to make dark magician of chaos and magician of faith into forbidden cards

I really like this card, seems really balanced to me. Keep it at seven stars, but maybe make it cost a few more Spell Counters or make it so it cannot be special summoned if your worried about it being over powered.

Well, at the moment i am working on a spellcaster deck of my own with the idea of having a light magician (i have already made it). But in all, the only thing that is the same would be the name
