Without DAD and Judgment Dragon

Despite the deck being called "Tele-DAD", with only 2 copies of the card the deck hardly revolves around it. The deck gets going when it floods the field with synchros using Malicious, E-Tele and Plaguespreader; DAD is just a helping hand which makes the victory comfortable if it is drawn.

 

Same goes for Lightsworn. It could be said that Lightsworn relies on JD more so than Tele-DAD relies on DAD, because there's easier access to the card through Monster Reincarnation and Beckoning Light. However, plenty of Lightsworn victories have taken place without JD even making a single appearance.

 

So my question is this: If Tele-DAD didn't have it's DAD, and Lightsworn didn't have it's JD, would they still be the decks to beat, or would others such as Zombies, or maybe even Gladiator Beasts, regain control?

well this is a good question, ive lost to LS that didnt pitch a JD ive won with a tele-dad like deck without pitching dad, and ive flattened glads to do it, I think they would keep control, and if not dad, it might become tele-demise and work somthing like this

If DAD got banned, Dark Teleport (As it would then be called) would still show up in the Top 16, but likely at smaller numbers while Lightsworn, Gladiator Beasts, and Zombies will show up in greater number.

I can't see Lightsworn making a strong impact on the competition without JD, but Dark Destiny-Hero synchro builds much like teledad could continue to prosper, though maybe not quite as much.

I think that none of the decks would be severely hurt. LS and Dark-Tele would still reign supreme. Just maybe with a little more competition.

I can see LS doing poorly since their deck revolves mostly around JD, the rest being side notes, but in teledad the main purpose is the synchros and DAD is the afterthought.

GBSworn makes some sense if you take advantage of Darius rezzing up milled off Laquaris and Bestiaris, but TeleGBDAD? lolwut

There is nothing negligible about Special Summoning yourself, clearing the opponent's entire field without giving up any cards from your hand or field, and swinging for over 1/3 LP.

 

Don't try to downplay DAD's brokenness.

Hmm... DD Crows, Dark Panthers in combo with rescue cat, Sangan, Reaper, you could probably cram in enough Darks to use DAD. I don't see how to add the teleport part though.

The teleport part would be the part that speeds up the deck, and you could possibly use E Tele after you used your tagged out GB's effect to synchro into something that could protect your field and set you up for a win(like Stardust). The DAD part would work like Genzo said.
