The Sky Scourges (Worth running at a cost of 4 monsters?)

Sky Scourge Enrise can remove face-up monsters from play, which is good against synchro monsters (sometimes). Not even close to Chaos Sorcerer or BLSEnvoy. And ontop of that, he can't attack if he decides to.

Sky Scourge Norleras is a hand/field nuke that allows you to draw 1 card after terrorizing the opponent's plays and hand. An epic win combination, a humble incarnation of CED, without the epic damage to the opponent's Life Points.

An EARTH fairy. No support for the fellow sky scourges and will get in the way in a Sky Scourge deck. Probably not worth the time.

 

 

 

So, the Sky Scourges, are they worth running? What are the best DARK Fiend and LIGHT Fairy monsters they run with? What Spells/Traps equal epic win with these guys?

Enrise: With such summoning requirements, it could've been freer than Chaos Sorcerer, effect-wise.

 

Norleras: Broken.

 

Invicil: Yes - not worth anyone's time, unless you insist on this bein' treated as something indispensable in Counter-Fairies (in which case mine pies are at the ready).

Norleras is the only one out of these that didnt get a much worse effect than its Chaos counterpart Chaos Emperor Dragon.

 

Invicil could only see play in Counter Fairies or some sort of Fairy Lockdown Deck. Anywhere else, I dont see it being used.

 

Enrise. No thanks. It is outclassed not only by the other Sky Scourges in terms of usefulness but it doesnt really offer much if you bother to summon it. Norleras is much better Phantom of Chaos food.

Invicil? Doubt it could be of much use in Counter-Fairies - in fact, by negatin' Spells (as is bound to happen in a deck proliferatin' with those fay wings), those Counter-Traps lose some of their targets, which in turn effectively makes those Artemis and Co. pointless vanillas.

I think Invicil is underrated.

He is somewhat decent.

The only problem is that he's slow (negating all Spells should be done on turn 1) and situational.

And, off course, there are better alternates, like Barrier of the Spellcasters and Natural Beast.

 

And for Norelas, it ain't easy to get him out, but it simply has no other use than breaking the game.

Giant Germs and Shining Angels make these guys alot easier to get out, while they are not the best cards to choose from if playing metagame since nothing ever gets attacked, but outside of DAD/JD decks they are epic. Evil Heroes could possibly make them better i guess, but i don't know which ones to run with them.

Enrise: Despite that is my name, I will not be biased... It's effect could be a bit better due to the extreme summoning conditions, it's almost like a worser Chaos Sorcerer...

 

Norleras: Broken... It's a bit more broken than CED with the bomb nuke, because you get a card...

 

Invincil: Mini-Jinzo, Bigger-Spell Cancler, could've been a whole lot better than now... Effect sucks an all... Even though you get a free LIGHT/DARK Fairy/Fiend-Type monster to the Graveyard, closer to Summoning Norleras and Enrise, but still crappy effect... Usefull for blocking your opponents Trap/Spell Cards, but not against the monsters...

 

Enrise: Could be better effect-wise

Norleras: Broken

Invincil: Needs a couple of other cards to make it usefull...

Some obv. tips for running scourges.

 

1. monsters

 

Go(o)d fiend type : sangan, snipe hunter, phantom of chaos

 

fairy : ummm... they all suck but you can fill the grave fast with nova summoner and shining angel, maybe run honest with this

 

2. Trade In is handy here.

 

3. Norleras is better used to nuke and then gain advantage via graveyard effects (like mezuki).

 

4. traps : none, running 0 traps or something like ccv, torrent and roars. nothing special

It could clone Enrise and Norleras, but Norleras is the only one really worth cloning.

It could clone Enrise and Norleras, but Norleras is the only one really worth cloning.
