Criteria :

-make 3 cards that will make Beast Type decks Tier 1 in TCG

-as it says - you need to support Beast Type decks , that actually means it can be anything that could be combined with current Beast Type decks...for example EARTH support because lot of Beast monsters in current Beast Type decks are EARTH..also be careful that your card does not help other Tier 1 decks because obviously then we are at same as we was before =)

-neither of them can be Tuner or Synchro monster

-only 1 max can be Special Summoned with Rescue Cat

-cards cannot be broken (Balance) and they cannot make any card that is existing in TCG broken ( u will get minus points in Usage if they do)

Judging will be determined on this factors ( /10 for example means u can get 10 points max in that factor) .

Creativity /10

Wording /5

Balance /10

Image /5 (picture of card)

Usage /10 (do they really make Beast decks good enough to beat Tier 1 decks consistently)

Grokkage /3 (card effects need to be simple and sweet)

Total /43

And i will judge by above factors for each card of 3 submitted so that means you can total earn 129 points. ^^

Also image is not needed , but u will not be able to get points in Image factor. (so if you got good cards enough you don't need to even bother about it if you think they will win without those possible 15 points)

Prizes :

1st : 40 points + ability to enter Yugioh Created Card game directly and become instantly card creator and get bonus points ( you can decline part after '+') and 3 Reps!

2nd : 20 points + 2 Reps

3rd : 10 points +1 Rep

Yeah i will be left without points at end but it is ok ^^.

About Yugioh Created Card game - look in Card Contest Yugioh Created game sticky. Also if i notice some other creators are good they will be invited too. After end of this tournament i will start a new one. So that will be part 2 etc. So basicly 3 cards are enough for you to win ;)

So come on people , show me what u got ;)

Anyone can enter before this date : 7. 1. 2009. (Day Month Year)

After that date entrys will be closed and i will start judging

THIS IS NOT MY CONTEST. I AM MERELY HOSTING IT FOR NIGHTMARIAN.

Someone already asked me that so i will explain it. I am suprised u guys dont know that.

Tier 1 decks are strongest/best decks in current meta game, ones that consistently win in big tournaments.

Those are currently in TCG : TeleDaD variants, Zombie Synchro, Gladial Beasts etc. You can find them by searching google. :)

Also it will help you that you examine current Beast Type decks so that u know for what are u exactly making support.

Tier 1=Flavor of the Month/SJC top 8 decks

Tier 2=decks that go in and out of vogue depending on new releases and the ban list

[spoiler=Lore]

This card cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. This card cannot be Special Summoned except by Tributing 3 Beast-Type monsters you control. The original ATK of this card becomes the total amount of ATK of the Tributed monsters. If this card was destroyed by the effect of a Spell or Trap Card when it was Summoned, select 2 monster in your Graveyard that were used to Special Summon this monster and Special Summon them to your field. During your Battle Phase, pay 1000 Life Points. If you do, this card can attack 3 times during the Battle Phase of this turn.

[spoiler=Lore]

When this card is Summoned, draw 2 cards from your Deck and add them into your hand. Send any Spell Cards added into your hand by this effect to the Graveyard. Then increase the ATK and DEF of this card for each Spell Card sent to the Graveyard by this effect x200. When this card is destroyed, draw 1 card and add it into your hand. If the card is a monster, Special Summon it to your field. While this card is face-up on the field and another "Planet Holder" monster is Summoned, this card can attack your opponent directly during the Battle Phase of this turn.

My cards are coming now:

78876bg8.jpg

Effect should be readable.

78876ip5.jpg

[spoiler=This effect may be a problem though]

This card cannot attack during the turn it is Summoned. When "Toon World" on the field is destroyed, destroy this card. If "Toon World" is on your side of the field and your opponent does not control a Toon Monster, this card can attack your opponent's Life Points directly. Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, you can Tribute 1 monster you control and inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the ATK of the Tributed monster.

78876jd8.jpg

That should also be readable.

And I am a Balancer and a Creator, in the main CCG thread Nightmarian said that it will be a contest for positions. So I am the above 2. And a Player, but that ain't a contest.

Sorry this has taken me a while, well they aren't my best because of the whole beast thing, but go figure.

Infuriator, The Infernal Beast Warrior

1 Beast Tuner-Type monster + 2 or more non-Tuner Beast-Type monsters

This card can only be Syncro Summoned by tuning 3 level 4 or below Beast-Type monsters. This card can attack the same number of times during the same Battle Phase as the number of 1000 attack points this card has. When this card destroys a monster by battle, you can inflict 500 points of damage to your opponent's Life Points.

NifiyalaKitsune.jpg

Nifiyala, The Nine Tailed Kitsune

When a card effect deals damage to a player's Life Points except this card's effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Kitsune Flame Token" (Beast-Type/FIRE/Level 2/ATK 0/DEF 0) to the field in face-up Defense Position. Here's my entries. Once again, I apologize for the lack of pictures, etc.

The instructions say that the goal is to make Beast based decks "Tier 1", right? I took this to mean that a deck using my created cards would be able to compete with TeleDAD, Lightsworn, Gladiator Beasts, and pretty much everything else on a competitive level.

It would, perhaps, become the deck to beat. It might only become like Lightsworn: Feared, but not topping 15/16 SJC slots. No matter what, I believe my cards are balanced by today's standards of top competitive play. I hope you agree.

Hurricane Furry

EARTH Level 3

ATK 1000/DEF 800

Beast/Effect

During your Main Phase, you can return this card from the field to its owner's hand. You can play this card in your Spell & Trap Card Zone as a Spell Card. If you do, it gains this effect:

*Select 1 Beast-Type monster you control and 1 monster your opponent controls. Switch control of those monsters.

Defend the Forest!

Normal Spell

Add one Beast-Type monster from your Deck to your hand. Then, if there are any monsters in your opponent’s Graveyard, select 1 of those monsters and Special Summon it to your opponent’s side of the field.

Digger Rat

EARTH Level 4

ATK 1500/DEF 1400

Beast/Effect

When this card is Summoned, this card gains 1 of the following effects:

*Once while this card is face-up on the field, pick up cards from the top of your Deck until you pick up a Spell or Trap Card. Add that card to your hand. Then, send all Beast-Type monsters picked up to the Graveyard, and return the remaining cards to your deck.

*Once while this card is face-up on the field, add 1 Beast-Type monster from your Graveyard to your hand, other than “Digger Rat”.

Furry can be summoned by Rescue Cat, and comboes VERY well with what Beast decks sometimes like to do: Swapping monsters. Swapping Giant Rat, Nimble Momonga, or even Wicked Worm Beast with Creature Swap was always a good play, and now it's much better. It also refrains from helping non-Beast decks.

It obviously has many weaknesses, being both a Spell and Monster at times, but it punishes big Synchro turns, etc. I would say that this would be a three-of.

Defend the Forest is a very good card that can promote skill. While your opponent has no monsters, it becomes an amazing one-for-one. It can get ANY Beast, including:

Green Baboon, Defender of the Forest

Rescue Cat

Hurricane Furry

Giant Rat

Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter

Digger Rat

And even cards that would probably be one-of's, like Behemoth the King of all Animals.

It can set up TONS of plays. Knowing when to use it would be far more difficult that activating Reinforcement of the Army as soon as you draw it.

There's also the issue of its second effect. YOU get to choose the monster that gets summoned, so when you want to swap for something, you can get it. Alternatively, you could just give them their Malicious or something unhelpful. You could even give them something small and run over it if they have very few Life Points left.

Of course, this would help other decks. That includes burn, which can get Des Koala, and Crystal Beast, which gains three extra copies of Pegasus. However, I doubt it would be too much.

Finally, there's Digger Rat. This thing makes the deck come alive. It loses out to Bottomless Trap Hole and the like, but otherwise it's a +1 no matter what. It can be summoned by Giant Rat, but not Rescue Cat. Like Stratos and Card Trooper before it, the free-ness associated with it allows you to comfortably swap it to the opponent, Synchro Summon with it (if your deck can do that), and attack carelessly with it. Not to mention that it feeds the Pot of Avarice engine the Beast deck might have.

However, given the lack of Special Summoning that Beast decks have, and the limitation on its second effect, it will never be excessively broken.

Hope you like them, because I had fun making them!
