There's a saying called "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the 1".

 

That isn't the case here. Guilty people are guilty. Not worth saving IMO.

 

Depends on the extent of their guilt.

 

If it's OMG UNFORGIVEABLE guilty, then HELL NO

If it's a minor (and I mean MINOR thing) and if this action can help, then why not?

It depends on the people being saved. One life in exchange for lives of many' date=' to some, would seem like a no-brainer.

If it were an adult, then they would PROBABLY understand and accept it

Not all adults. Some are too selfish to think about anyone but themselves. In the military, I doubt anyone would since they've all be drilled with the "if 1 life has to be sacrificed in order for the mission to succeed, then that's the way it has to be" concept

Sadly, that is true. Most wouldn't do it - which is why I capped PROBABLY.
