Guest PikaPerson01
As a Dark, Level 1 300 attack 300 defense spellcasters, he's got a plethora of means of special summoning. Limit Reverse, Graceful Revival, Apprentice Magician and Mystic Tomato, and with a lot more set-up, Escape From the Dark Dimension and if you REALLY wanna get picky about it, Magician's Circle and Magical Dimension, but the last 3 would probably not see much play, Nevertheless, it illistrates that bringing this card onto the field does not have to come at the cost of a normal summon. However merely being having the above does not a banworthy card make. The key part rests entirely in this dude's effect. Turning your entire Extra Deck (or parts of it, if you still wanna run Synchros) into a toolbox where every single piece can come out at any number until you get bored of it. tl;dr version: Book of Eclipse
ZombieCombo
Magic and science can never combine, just like cookies and grounded kids.
XP_Lulz
Well, I think Magical Scientist isn't ban worthy. The reasons is that its weak and will usually get pummeled after the turn its summoned for its effect. Not only that, but alot of those combo's that involve him that are "cheap" usually have other cards that should be banned. I think it should be limited, but thats only me. Uchiha
I don't believe that versatility IS a crime.I believe that when a card steps beyong versatility and becomes overpowered and able to OTK with multiple different card combinations easily' date=' that is when the card should be banned, as is the case with Magical Scientist.[/quote'] Magical Scientist's only notable OTK has been with Catapult Turtle. This card can be a quick Synchro.Bad. Until they make low-level Fusion Monsters that are also Tuners' date=' this card can only generate Synchro Monsters if you can Summon both this and a Tuner. In fact, that's not even an efficient way of Synchro Summoning; it would be cheaper just to use something like Vice Dragon or Instant Fusion alongside a Tuner, thus preventing you from needing a Double Summon. Psycho Shocker Android
It's basically pay 1000 LP kill an opponent monster, and without turtle there are more OTKs with him like bring 3 dark flare knight who transforms into 3 mirage knight. Dark Spellcaster also makes him too easy to use for his amazing effect. Cheap Synchro anyone? (at least card advantage wise)

Phantom Roxas
Care to think of more ideas that don't involve Emergency Teleport. That's 5 with, but 3 without.

Psycho Shocker Android
You only lose 1 card and 1000LP with scientist and he gives you the option of brigning out any synchro (provided you have the proper tuner for it). It's far better than Instant Fusion and all of the example given by PikaPerson01. Some people seem to think cheap synchro is okay for the game. It would be if you would bring out crap like gaia knight or natural gaodrake but when you have access to stardust dragon and brionac, dragon of the ice boundary it starts to be a big problem. And also DARK STRIKE FIGHTER (who should definatly be ban but we should talk about him in another topic)

And if you use priest/cat you are using OCG cards and have access to dark dive bomber and scientist is an FTK with that (FTK > not FTK). Without him summon priest still uses a spell and is limited to lv 4 to 7 synchro while scientist can even bring out the lv9. They are all very good ways to synchro and depending on your strategy you can adjust your extra deck. Malicious is another thing though I would run him with scientist, malicious is probably the best way to synchro. Extra deck for scientist would look like one of those 2 : FTK2 dark dive bomber2 fusions for DDB11 fusions to FTK(mabe cut some cards for black rose and stardust) All around1 red dragon archfiend1 colossal fighter1 thought ruler archfiend1 stardust dragon1 dark end dragon1 black rose dragon1 dark dive bomber1 goyo guardian1 brionac2 ryu senshi2 dark balter the terrible1 dark fire dragon1 flame ghost
