SushiTheLegend
That Spell card sounds like a good support against people who like to steal monsters which seemingly happens often these days.

SushiTheLegend
Technically since Rotom has no evolution...I'll assume that you're only entering the two possible other forms of Rotom. Results should be posted up before Monday Midnight.
~ Chidori-Kun
But you need to do something to rotom... to change it... kinda like deoxys... will I get penalized?
SushiTheLegend
Well even though I think that your "destroy this card and inflict damamge" effect is pointless since LIGHT monsters power it's ATK therefore making it's ATK 0. However why would I penalize you for anything?
~ Chidori-Kun
1.) the destroy effect happens on the field so you do take damage from rotoms current ATK... 2.) Because as yuo said, rotom technically isn't a evolution, yet a transformation
SushiTheLegend
No it still works, it's a Pokemon contest and I said an evolutionary line, which includes non-evolutionary Pokemon due to themself being their evolutionary line. Yes but if you have no LIGHT monsters it's ATK would be 0. Unless you can clarify the effect in a situation that is for me.
~ Chidori-Kun
Example End Turn Rotom is about ot die Opponent chains hand destruction you discard 2 Lights rotoms ATK becomes 1000 rotom dies as chain resolves... You lose 1000
SushiTheLegend
I guess your opponent might want to get you to inflict damage to yourself...
