OD97
The cards seem to work very well with cards that I call "deck burners": tribute to the doomed, back to square one, gravekeeper's servant, dark world lightning, and the ones that force you to discard a card to activate an effect. Killey
I still like your photoshop work and the look of the Japanese cards is very authentic. Agreed, that the artwork for Kimega is exceptional and seems fitting. OCG:I don't think you need to state that there is no limit to the number of monsters you can equip to this card. I think it should be implied that you can equip as many monsters on it if the card doesn't have any text stating otherwise much like the wording for Destiny Hero - Plasma. It seems odd to me that you have a 2-5 effect then a 4-8 effect because of the overlap. I know it's just a condition to be met to activate one of the effects as they don't stack but I'd almost would rather see it as 2-4 then 5-8 but that's just me being picky. I don't know why you put a upper limit on the last effect since as soon as they pass the 8 monster mark they can't activate that effect. I can understand it being a balancing mechanism but it doesn't really seem necessary, in my opinion. I'm sure it would still be fine with a 4 or more condition. Effect:Putting the conditions that you can only activate 1 of the 3 effects once per turn was a good idea as anything else would have made the card excessive within the theme. The first effect is fine and though similar to Cyber Darks and now Dragunity's you make up for it with the other 2 effects. The burn damage effect would have been too much and could have been abusive along the lines of Dark Strike Fighter but with the once per turn condition you eliminate that abuse. I would like to see the last effect conditions being 5 or more since it seems rather easy to pour 4 DE monsters in the Graveyard. I can let it go since you have to use a turn to equip 1 on this card and hope it survives the next turn to SS the equipped monster (provided you met the conditions) only to have its ATK halved. Since you are one of the more respectable members would you take the time to go over my set. You can find the thread in my signature.
megaraptor
Before reading further please realize that i am not skilled in the area of Japanese grammar. i use an online translator' date=' and i know that it is incorrect. Please, if you can read and understand Japanese, know that i am aware that what is written there makes absolutely no sense. Just take it as it is, for what i intend for it to be, a work of art. just read the print above and below the cards to see what they are really named and what they actually do. Thank you. Everyday, after a post that resets the day's quota, i will award prizes to the first 4 people who post. One of the people will receive a +rep, others will receive 30 points. after you have received a +rep from this set you are not eligible for another. During your End Phase you must discard up to 2 cards. If you do not, this card is destroyed. During your next Draw Phase, draw a number of cards equal to the number of cards you discarded by this effect. Card art to Haris, in Father Wolf's Card Image Thread. As you can see, this card draws strength from its fallen Matter buddies. this card isnt only good at burn, it is one of the most key cards to the set, and with the further release of more of them you will see why. [2] Dark Emanater – Gargojii ••DARKFiend/Effect1300/0Once per turn, during your Standby Phase, you can reveal this card in your hand to draw 1 card and discard 1 card, other than this card. If you do this, this card remains revealed while it is in your hand, until the End Phase. You can remove this card in your Graveyard from play to increase the ATK of 1 monster you control by 700, and its Level by 1. Art credit to Father Wolf. This card adds synergy to the set, as well as a boost when drawing. the trade off lets you add to more Dark Matter Energy in the Grave, and get a card to replace it. Plus, you could stack a few Dark World monsters in your deck to get some more bonus with this card. yeah, thats right. the wording allows it to work with Dark World. [3] Dark Matter Contract Normal SpellDiscard 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster to draw 2 cards. For each "Dark Emanater" Monster you draw, send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard. When this card is sent to the Graveyard, you lose 200 Life Points for every "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard. Art credit to Father Wolf. This card further leads to synergy and draw power. the last point where it backfires it the self burn, so there is actually some downside to the card, making it more balanced. this is the main draw card in the deck, as well as one of the only non-monster cards to be printed.
[4] Dark Emanater – Doruukji •••••DARKFiend/Effect2300/0This card gains the following effects, based on the amount of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard. •2 or more: This card inflicts Piercing Damage. •4 or more: When this card destroys an opponent's monster, your opponent sends the top card of his/her deck to the Graveyard. •6 or more: When this card destroys a monster by battle it can attack again, in a row. During your End Phase you must discard 2 cards. If you do not, this card is destroyed. Art credit to Father Wolf. this is the power hitter for the set. this card can be searched via Dark Emanater – Iliciil, and with the right amount of cards can be devastating to the opponent. With combination between the previous three cards, this card can be a surprise power fist straight to the opponent -- maybe even a game winner! [5] Darkness Deform Counter TrapActivate 1 of the following effects based on the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard: • 1 or more: Negate the effect of 1 Spell or Trap Card and remove it from play, then remove 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard from play. • 3 or more: Negate the Summon of a monster and return it to the owner's hand, then remove 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard from play. Art: Haseo of Showcase. This card can be a real menace to the opponent, such as being able to send a Synchro Monster back to the Synchro Deck, since they arent allowed in the hand. ;) [6] Dark Emanater - Koremar•DARKFiend/Tuner700/100This card gains the following effects, based on the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard: • 1: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. • 2 or more: When this card is destroyed by battle, destroy the card that destroyed it. • 4 or more: When this card is destroyed, you can destroy all other cards on the field, then both players can Special Summon 1 monster from their respective Graveyards. The controller of this card sends the top card of their deck to the Graveyard during their End Phase. Art: Hunter of Showcase Not only is this a Tuner monster, but this card can also deal some heavy damage to the opposing line when attacked. This card, though weak in strength, can change the tide of the duel in an instant.
[7] Dark Emanater - Kokometu••••••DARKFiend/Effect2500/1700If this card is sent to the Graveyard by the cost or effect of a "Dark Emanater" Monster you control, activate 1 of the following effects: • 1: destroy 1 card on the field. • 2 or more: inflict damage to your opponent equal to the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard x300. • 3 or more: Increase the ATK of 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster you control by 800 until your next End Phase. • 4 or more: Draw 1 card. Art: Diedra of Showcase This card doesnt have an ability when on the field, this card is meant for the Grave! When it is sent there from any of the effects of the other DE monsters, it can inflict a new ability based on how many are in there, and that counts himself! use him wisely, because you could value his power in a pinch. [8] Dark Emanater - Dark Matter Wyvern Cannon•••••••••DARKDragon/Synchro/Effect3600/01 Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner monstersYou can select 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard and equip it to this card as an Equip Spell Card. You can remove from play 1 equipped "Dark Emanater" Monster to destroy 1 card on the field. When this card is destroyed, Special Summon up to 3 monsters removed from play by this effect. Art: Diedra of Showcase This card is the key monster, using the sent DE monsters to their fullest potential with a DaD esque effect! this monster is one heck of a Dragon! [9] Dark Emanater – Shinjoki••••••DARKFiend/Effect2300/0 While this card is in your Graveyard, when a face-up "Dark Emanater" Monster you control is destroyed, activate 1 of the following effects based on the amount of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard. •1: Destroy the 1 face-up monster your opponent controls that has the lowest ATK and Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. •2 or more: Send 1 card on the field to the owner's hand and Special Summon 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster from your Graveyard except a "Dark Emanater – Shinjoki." •3 or more: Special Summon this card from your Graveyard and draw 1 card. •4 or more: Pay 1000 Life Points to destroy up to 2 cards on the field and Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. Art: Nils Hamm at http://www.mtgstaples.com/2943/9301.html This is like the Gorz of the Grave in this set. For best advantage, mill him via the effects of the other DE Monsters, then wait for his protection when one of your monsters are destroyed. you can end up destroying a few key cards your opponent has, as well as getting a new monster of your own! For added benefit, you could destroy DE Monsters you control instead, powering up the others with new fallen allies in the Graveyard!
[10] Dark Emanater - Lorunenji•••••••DARKFiend/Effect2500/0 When this card is sent to the Graveyard, activate 1 of the following effects based on the amount of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard: •1: Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard and draw 1 card. •2 or more: Special Summon this card in your Graveyard, this card's original ATK becomes 1900. •3 or more: Remove from play this card in your Graveyard to destroy 1 card on the field. •4 or more: Special Summon this card in your Graveyard and Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Dark Emanater" Monster from your hand. This card cannot attack during the turn you activate this effect. Art: http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/ART3/scornful_aether_lich_art_by_steven_belledin.jpg This card is one of the more powerful creatures of the set, being able to enhance the speed of your other favorite DE Monsters! You can add more DEs to the Graveyard to power up your other ones on the field, or you could Special Summon this card to your side of the field, maybe including a new monster from your hand! This card's effects are mandatory, and the activate whenever it is sent to the Graveyard. This means popular support with Foolish Burial and discarding effects also make this card's effect trigger, and since this card can activate during the opponent's effect this card can be quite devious! [11] Dark Matter ConscriptionSpell Card Select 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster you control. Special Summon 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster from your Deck with a level equal to or less than half the level of the selected Monster. During your End Phase destroy that Monster. When that Monster is destroyed by this effect, send a number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard with combined levels equal to the level of the destroyed Monster. Art: http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/ART3/absorb_vis_art_by_brandon_kitkouski.jpg This card is one of the elusive Spell Cards in the set, a set where is focuses mainly on the crute strength of a Monster Card. But with its elusivness it makes up for in strength! This card can target such cards as Dark Emanater - Dark Matter Wyvern Cannon, allowing you to select higher level monsters! To use this card to its fullest potential, select the highest level possible in every choice, allowing you to send more cards to the Graveyard when the monster is destroyed at the end of the turn, powering up more DE Monsters you control! Use this in combination with a few Dark Emanater - Lorunenji to end up with 2 new creatures, almost for free! [12] Dark Matter ReconstructionContinuous Spell Card Once per turn you can remove 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard from play to activate 1 of the following effects: • Send up to 3 "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Deck to the Graveyard with combined levels equal to the level of the removed monster. • Release 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster you control to draw 1 card. Art: enser, Shaper Savant by Aleksi Briclot on http://www.mtgstaples.com/2943/8401.html This card can change the number of DE monsters in your Graveyard to best suit the monster you have. For instance, if you have only 1 DE monster in your Graveyard you could remove it to change the number to 3. This is helpful with Dark Emanater – Iliciil, as it needs exactly 3 DEs in the Graveyard to activate it's most powerful effect! Or you could lower the number by one, and draw a card in the process. This card is very helpful and, if played correctly, could change the outcome of a match.
[13] Dark Emanater - Jimatukame•••••DARKFiend/Effect2000/0 When this card is Special Summoned from your Graveyard activate 1 of the following effects based on the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard. • 1 or more: This card gains ATK equal to the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard x 100. • 3 or more: Discard 1 card. This card gains 700 ATK during the damage step. • 4 or more: When this card attacks a Defense Position monster, remove it from play before the damage step. Art: By Marvel™ on http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-119610.html This card is the new powerhitter of the game, transforming the abilities of your playing field in an instant. Use the aforementioned combo with Dark Matter Reconstruction and Dark Emanater – Iliciil to end up summoning this card, and power up it's ATK like crazy! You have two different options to choose from when enhansing his ATK, one is for permanent and it fluctuates, the other can give you a powerboost only during the damage step. The final effect can devastate the opponent while defending from your previous DE Monsters! [14] Amulet of Dark ContractEquip Spell Card Release 1Monster you control to Special Summon 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster from your Graveyard with a Level equal to or less than twice the Level of the released monster. During the End Phase you must discard 1 card, or the monster is destroyed. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card. Art: Dawn Charm by John Avon on http://www.mtgstaples.com/2943/8401.html This card brings an Iliciil-esque effect that can be activated at any time, and that adds a bit of speed to the growing pile of DE Monsters. The wording of this effect allows you to bring out a more powerful monster than the one you just released, and it is intended to be that way. If you had a level 1 Koremar you would be able to bring out one of the level 2s, such as Gargojii or the brand-new Ponikame, or another copy of himself. If you had the level 5 Jimatukame, you could bring out any of the fallen DE monsters, since they are all so far beneath level 10. [15] Dark Emanater - Nijenutuki•••••••DARKFiend/Effect2700/0 This card can be Special Summoned from your hand by releasing 2 "Dark Emanater" Monsters you control. When this card attacks, activate 1 of the following effects based on the amount of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard. • 1 or more: your opponent discards 1 card from their hand. • 2 or more: if this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, inflict damage to your opponent equal to the level of the destroyed monster x300. • 3 or more: Your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step. • 4 or more: You can halve the ATK of this card to attack directly this turn. Art: By Marvel™ on http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-119610.html This card helps you in the hand advantage area, as well as the beat-down area of attacking skill. This card can also prevent your opponent from activating Spells or Traps in the battle phase, protecting this monster for a while longer than the other monsters you may control. And lastly, this card can attack directly for half the damage. This card is one powerful beast!
[16] Dark Emanater - Ponikame••DARKFiend/Effect900/0 Once per turn you can remove 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster in your Graveyard from play to activate 1 of the following effects: • Target "Dark Emanater" Monster you control gains ATK equal to the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard x100 until the End Phase. • Target "Dark Emanater" Monster you control gains DEF equal to the number of "Dark Emanater" Monsters in your Graveyard x400 until the End Phase. Art: By Marvel™ on http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/thread-119610.html This card increases the ATK and DEF of any DE monster you control, and it also fluctuates the number of DE monsters in your Graveyard. This card gains ATK equal to half of those equipped cards' combined ATK. (There is no limit to the number of monsters that can be equipped to this card) • 2-5: Send 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster equipped to this card to the Graveyard to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the Level of the sent monster x200. • 4-8: Special Summon 1 "Dark Emanater" Monster equipped to this card to your side of the field in face-up Attack Position. If that monster is Level 4 or higher, its ATK is halved. http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/art_catacombs_p_thru_s.htm This card not only has the best art in the best art in the set, but it also has the most unique effect! It can power boost itself with the DEs in your Graveyard, and it can even bring them back!
