burnpsy
I don't think half of you get it, the "Earthbound" was the problem. You should probably just rant about what the first word could have changed to. @ Everyone who pointed out the 2 cards with "Earthbound" in their name: Earth Immortals are a major part of the anime. Those 2 cards are random minor cards tht no company would notice. >.>
Phantom Roxas
Importance in the Anime is irrelevant to the reasoning behind the name change. By your terrible logic, the Jibakushin are so important that they have more of a reason to keep their names.

Guest
There wasn't any copyright problem, people; you'll notice that the card "Twister" didn't have its name changed in deference to a certain game where hands and feet are placed on coloured circles. The name was changed because Konami chose to change it, not because Mother 2 was in the way. Also, it's pretty much a given that most people are going to hate it whenever Konami makes an important name change. We had a topic like this about Lightlords / Lightsworns, we had a topic like this about Slash-Busters / Slash-Assault Modes - we even had a topic like this about the Arcana Force series having the ends of its names decapitalized. Sheesh, people.

They had a solid reason to change the name (due to religous connotations and a Copyright infringement scare), they had no choice. I don't see how my logic would falter here! xD Plus, this time its a set of cards, instead of 2 random cards[/point strengthening]

Plus' date=' this time its a set of cards, instead of 2 random cards[/point strengthening'] Just because it's a set of cards doesn't mean a thing. Azuh
Hardened Armed Dragon? Oh lawd. DX You know, I'll be actually scared that Hardened Armed Dragon is actually DaD's apparent boner...
Phantom Roxas
Thanks, now I can't take the card seriously. Hardened Armed Dragon could be a weaker version of DAD, since DAD was Limited.
