Brandon noticed that on the news was a video report by a terrorist leader wearing a cloak and visor addressed Kira as the devil and promised to kill him when he finds him. Brandon then had an idea. "guys, I have an idea. But, your probably gonna hate me for this." he said.

[Kira Magister Magi]

"What is it? You know me... I am calm no matter the situation (L moment, here)"

Marez giggled. "And yet you get jumpy if I or anyone else comes close to saying your last name."

 

She stuck her tounge out.

"Well, what if that person is a rogue Kira???"

"Here's my idea. We make a public statement that there is a new Kira in the world and will be staying until all of crime is gone. which will tick off the terrorist leader and want to meet the Kira. thats where I come in. I'll be the bait so the leader and I meet while you stay behind and write his name down." Brandon explained. "It will cost alot to do though."

Chris walked to the Mafia leader as he smiled. Then he took a seat in the chair as the Mafia leader followed standing across the table. "Bring the briefcase." The leader of the mafia signaled his gaurd carrying the case placing it on the table. Chris smiled as the extends his arm over the table to the case. "Well is this what I think it is?"

Alex sighed, he put his phone away and continued to walk. "Day 1, of the Death Note incident..." He said to himself, Koruda looked at him, "What do you mean by that?" She asked. Alex shook his head, "I'll be counting the days I've interacted with a Death Note..." He replied, Koruda sighed, "Again...What do you mean by that?"

Mina looked at the T.V. in the hotel lobby. The terrorist group had hostages, practically asking Kira to try to kill them. She felt restless. "Trying to provoke Kira. What a bunch of fools." She walked away. "Although... Kira is not one to back down from a challenge. No... he loves to play games with others. And as an egotistical maniac, he probably hates losing those games too." She laughed. "Ah... I'm reliving my younger days..." She felt solemn and became quiet immiediately. "Perhaps... I should take advantage of this..." She put a few calls in and the T.V. flashed a new story.

 

This just in, the NPA, an organization that was funded to combat Kira has turned their attention to the hostage situation currently brought up. They will meet with the terrorist leader to negotiate demands to release the hostages.

 

Mina smiled, she envisioned a chessboard in front of her, with Kent as her opponent, oddly enough. "Your move Kira."

Kallen walked over to the door and locked it before returning to the side of the bed her focus fixed on the note book that had appeared on her bed.

Brandon then typed in the pass code to the door. As it opened, another message on the news from the terrorist leader then showed. He still had the visor and mask. "I grow tired Kira. I have all these U.N ambassadors hostage. I will make a trade. I want 200 million yen and my son Brandon Mitchell to the Tokyo Bay pier tonight at midnight. Failure to complay and these people will die." Brandon then closed the door behind him. Lyax then follwed him "Damn it. Now everyone knows that I'm the son of a terrorist leader." Lyax looked at him almost depressed.

Kent was already in the HQ, as if he lived there. "We could have thought it was another Brandon, you know... However, this is great. You will be there with the NPA. Lend me your DN. I will give you mine, but I need yours so I don't lose my memory. Go there, give Marez a thumbs-up, meaning you want the eyes for the 13 seconds. As soon as that happens, remember the name and face of the first NPA member you see ((Since Namo quit, it will be his character)). When you are allowed back and are alone, kill that person."

Brandon gave Kent his Death Note and took Kent's. He then put it in his bag and walked out of the HQ. "Great now the NPA will be going after me now." he said.

[Kira Magister Magi]

"Not if you do this secretly... Make sure it is someone no one would miss. Take one glance as they are walking to you and then never look at them again, so they don't think you saw their faces."

[Ayasato-chan]

Mina heard the name. "Brandon?" She recalled the name. "Ah yes... well, that confirms one thing at least." She pondered. "But Kira won't back down, on the contrary, he'll use this boy Brandon as a tool to most likely to send a message to the NPA by killing the agent who is supposed to protect him. So he probably took the bait." She stopped. "In anycase, I should probably go back to NPA headquarters, at least until the next phase is done."

 

As if imagining it, the pawns of the chessboard began to move.

"Okay then." Brandon said. He walked towards his apartment. It was rat infested, dirty and hasn't been cleaned in months. Brandon tried his best to clean it at times, but it was useless. He sat in his bed.

Kallen smiles and grabs the book with her jacket and puts it into her bag then puts her jacket back on and walks out of the room and into the lobby and stopped to look at the tv.

Mina noticed Kallen as soon as she came into the lobby. "Hello Kallen. How was your nap?" She smiled. She didn't tell Kallen her plans, but she turned serious.

 

"Kallen, watch. If you pay close attention, you'll know how a user of a Death Note meets his end." She walked out of the hotel and to the car. "I'm heading back to headquarters. Do you want to come?"

Alex chuckled, "As I reach 10 days...I'll dispose of you..." He replied, "You'll give me information, until the tenth day..." Koruda giggled, "Why would I help you?" She asked. This made Alex laugh, "Because...you wouldn't want your precious 'Death Note' to be used, do you?" He asked, he flashed her Death Note, already in his hands. Koruda giggled again, "You can use it, for all I care."

"Um shure."Kallen walked over to the car"How long will it take?"

"Oh not long." Mina sighed. "Just give me a moment." She closed her eyes. She said quietly to herself, "I hope I still have that curse..." She opened her eyes, and they were blood-red and glowing. Of course Kallen couldn't see them. Another moment and they were gone. "Yes..." She motioned for Kallen to get into the car.

Speeding down a clear highway, they arrived at the hotel-disguised head-quarters. "I told you it wasn't long. Only a few minutes." She got out and decided to head inside.
