Out of the shadows, Dom came out and said "Hello there, Mina Makoto. I am Kira." From how she looked, Dom could tell she was surprised by who she saw in front of her. "Expecting someone else, were you?" ["Yes, I was"] Mina's imaginary chessboard saw her queen being taken and now she was in check. Now, I believe. thought Dom. He showed her a trigger and said, "I brought you a little surprise. But first..." *Dom's shinigami sneaks around and takes the Note in Mina's posession and brings it to Dom* "Well, goodbye." He then left out of the only exit that there was, locked the door behind him, stepped away a few feet, and pressed his trigger. The warehouse instantly caught on fire, with no possible way for anyone to escape. The board in Mina's mind made 2 moves. One for her, the other, checkmate in Kira's favor.

"Kent? You there?" God, this guy needs to quit changing his number "Ugh," jared said, snapping the thin phone, "Hmm... Guess i should go back to the hotel. Or maybe the airport. Would they know if I left?" Pretty risky, but why not? There are serious psychological reprocussions of changing the rules of the game Game? Really? This is justice. No game there "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"

 

Jared hated his second personality. It made more "logical reason adn kindness toward others" than Jared did, or so he said.

Mina looked around, her unable to escape. "This is what I do deserve. To burn..." Marez floated.

 

"Really? Your still upset about killing me are you?" Marez spoke softly as the flames grew higher.

 

Mina nodded. "It is a sin I must bare. You shouldn't have died. If only I wasn't so stupid back then..." She began to cough as smoke built up.

 

Marez looked at her curiously. "I don't really care that you killed me. It was possibly the best thing that happened." Mina shook her head.

 

"You don't have your humanity. That's why its easy for you to say such a thing." Marez laughed.

 

"Humanity? Why would I need something so stupid? Its humanity that got you all into this mess is it not?" Mina nodded.

 

"That's true... but that is why there is Kira. He will bring about a new age." The flames were close now. "Marez. as your owner, I require two things as a last request."

 

Marez nodded. "And they are?" Mina swallowed.

 

"First, I call a blood pact. you must help Kira, for I do know that that man was not Kira. He was too rash."

 

Marez stared at her. "Agreed."

 

The flames were at her feet now. "Lastly... kill me. It's the very last way I could atone..." Marez took out her Death Note.

 

"Mina Makoto. Instantaneous Heart Attack." Mina smiled and fell into the flames. Marez flew out as the warehouse burned down.

 

Marez said, "Goodbye... Mina-chan"

 

She began to sing,

He picked up the phone, "Sorry about the whole rushing on the call. I am a little impatient today. Seattle rain must be getting to me. Anyways, I'm looking for something to do before I get on a plane from this edgieness."

 

Jared jumped into a car and took the key from the from under the seat. "Hmph, I can't believe they left their keys in the car. THIS car. Great Car."

 

Jared drove off, dumping the car and keys in some poor guys driveway. "Too bad. Some Kira-fellow is going to kill you."

Hmm, well that would seem to be a predicament Jared thought as he snapped the phone shut for the second time today. A flight from here to Hong Kong would be how many hours? And then from there to Tokyo Internatiol? I guess I should warn kent about what I saw ((Jared has a diluted sense of premonition)) While Jared walked back to the hotel, he started scribbling names of the people he saw. Shinigami eyes are useful.

Brandon watched the news and there was breaking news that the president of the United States was shot and killed by the terrorist leader that recently bombed the U.N. Brandon thought of a way to kill his father. Lyax went to Kent. "Kent, we need to talk."

Kazuke stepped into the bathroom. Just as he thought, the bathroom was empty. He started to slowly walk towards the other end of the bathroom. He came up to the first stall. *WHAM* he kicked it open. Empty. He took 2 steps further down and reached the second stall. *WHAM* empty again. There was only two stalls left now. He was getting annoyed now. Why cant he just come out? He knows he has nowhere to run... *WHAM* empty again.

 

He came to a stop infront of the last stall. "I know you're in there so just come out and hand me my wallet." No response. Idiot! Kazuke thought to himself. *WHAM* the door remained closed. Duh! Why wouldn't he lock it? "You have one more chance! COME OUT!" still no response. Kazuke leaned back, and kicked full force *WHAM, CRACK!* the lock broke and flew right into the mans face, who was standing on the toilet. Kazuke was staring the man in the face. "Hand me my wallet!" Kazuke demanded in a firm but calm voice. "GO TO HELL!" came the mans response as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a long shard of glass. (a knife wouldve been detected by airport security) He lunged at Kazuke, and Kazuke took a single step to the right causing the man to miss and fall on his face.

 

He turned himself over and crawled back againt the wall still holding the shard out at Kazuke. "Stay back! Don't come near me!" The man was sweating and looked worried. Kazuke thought for a minute and smiled. "Alright you obviously need the money more then me so I'll let you have it." the mans face looked suprised and confused "You're giving me the money?" Kazuke nodded "Sure, I"m a nice guy. All you have to do is tell me your name. We never introduced ourselves! My name is Kazuke Endo." with that he held a hand out to pull the man up. As the man got to his feet he smiled and shook Kazuke's hand. "My name is Roy Baker! It's nice to meet a kind person once in a while!" Kazuke walked over to the counter and set his briefcase down. He opened it and pulled out a black notebook. "Its my phone book" he replied after seeing Roy's confused expression. "But I dont have a phone number" Roy laughed. "Thats ok dead people dont need to call anyone anyway." with that Kazuke closed the notebook, put it back in the briefcase and closed it. "What!? Hey I thought we were cool-" Kazuke interupted him "Oh we are, just as soon as you die and I get my wallet back. Pick-pockets are scum and deserve to be erased!" The man pulled out the shard again and lunged for kazuke only to fall on his face and lay still. "I'll be taking my wallet now..." Kazuke said as he bent over and searched the man's pockets.

Lyax then crossed out Brandon's name and explanation. "We can't do this. Not yet. But just in case, this will be out last option. We'll send a message to the leader saying we'll bring Brandon to him and kill him there."

Hmm, the vision seems to have changed. Lyax hasn't decided to kill Brandon. No need to worry then. Thank heavens He started dialing his brother's number on the phone when another premonition hit. Someone is walking in to that store. What the hell?! That's him... Josh! What is he doing robbing a store!?! Oh no, that means... He's going to be killed by these utopians "Oh no, this can't be good," he said walking to his hotel room that overlooked Seattle. Another vision occured, but this one of Kent, who Jared could never see very clearly for some reason. Kent is meeting with Lyax... Is that Brandon's Death Note Lyax has? Handing it over to Kent... Wait!? I can see more clearly! This happened in the past! But Lyax decided not to kill kent

 

Jared phased back to reality. "This is really bad! I can't get to Josh to warn him, and can't stop him from robbing the store because that seems in the near future. Maybe 2 or 3 hours time. He won't listen to me about the Death Note either!" he said, putting his head in his hands.
