You must Tribute 3 monsters you control to Normal Summon this card. The Normal Summon of this card cannot be negated. When this card is Normal Summoned' date=' a Spell, Trap, or Effect Monster Card cannot be activated. This card cannot be targeted by the effects of a Spell, Trap or Effect Monsters. If this card is Special Summoned, it is sent to the Graveyard during the End Phase. You can Tribute 2 monsters to destroy all monsters your opponent controls. This card cannot declare an attack the turn this effect is activated.[/i']

Also' date=' Slifer makes about as much sense as the card's name as Osiris does. The actual Osiris had nothing to do with the sky, dragons, being red, having two mouths, destroying things, or just about anything else conceivably relevant to the card. >_>

And did the actual Obelisk involve torment, blue Younger Toguro's that became a god, having wings, destroying lots of things, or just about anything else conceivably relevant to the card?

No, but nobody argues over whether to call it Obelisk or Obelisk. People do argue over whether to call the red one Slifer or Osiris, and I seem to remember that Blood Rose can't stand anyone referring to anything by its dub name.

If I recall correctly, Obelisk isn't the name of a God. It's a type of a tower. (Which makes the line 'suck on my Obelisk' all the more funny.)

I know, which means it makes less sense.

Your argument is that neither name fits the red one at all. My counter-argument is that "Obelisk" doesn't suit the blue one either.
