The first is so that the effect is a multi-trigger (like "Cyber Ogre's" effect) and the second is just a change of phrase. About the "increase" part, I guess is just other way of writting, the "gain" word is newer OCG regarding ATK & DEF but Life Points is something I just assumed and have yet to check.... probably is okay either way ;) thanks.
