Remember, Spell and Trap Cards can only be activated during the turn that they're Set, so even if you Set this again, you still don't have to worry about the owner activating it again. (Like Scrap-Iron Scarecrow)

 

-Since this does 3 things (Select, add, and re-Set), it's comma, comma, then and. No need for a sentence break, and you use "and", not "then", as is shown on Scrap-Iron Scarecrow.

This card, to be frank, is overpowered. Its lesser effect would render Dark World Dealings obsolete, and its other effect lets you gain back card advantage every turn on top of that. To balance it out, I'd make it so that the setting effect isn't optional and that your opponent's the one who draws and discards when it's destroyed.

Effect Quality and Length:

 

I don't really see much more effort put into this effect than your average YCM Spell Card. It's relatively short, and it seems as though most of the effort you put into this card was put into making the picture. It's still a fine effect, just fairly basic.

-Don't repeat the conditions that the attack target has to meet, like "the attacked Defense Position monster", or "the attacked WIND monster", just use "the attack target", as the conditions have already been established.

 

-Don't break the sentence and then list the cost, as you don't need to and it doesn't make much sense. Just use a comma, then list a cost, like "If [insert condition here that needs to be met for this effect to activate], you can [insert cost] to [insert effect] which is what's said on cards.

 

-"increase the Battle Damage your opponent takes by" is just "inflict damage to your opponent equal to". The damage isn't increase, just extra damage is tacked on in addition to the Battle Damage.

 

-There's an unnecessary comma between "takes" and "by" which is reworded anyhow as shown, just make sure you don't use more commas than you need to and be conscious of where they make sense.

 

-"of that 1 monster" is redundant, as the context shows hat you're only negating 1 attack.

 

-"Direct Damage" is outdated, just say "damage".

 

-"your monster" = "the attack target".

 

OCG: 9/20 No penalty as the effect's got a nice length to it, but try to reference cards from the TCG when in doubt from Yugioh Wikia. Wink

It's slightly underpowered. It strikes me as a situational Magic Cylinder with Life Point costs thrown in, but I can see places where this COULD be more useful, and Magic Cylinder IS Limited. It's just that this might go a little outclassed should it be released, still pretty well balanced though.

Effect Quality and Length:

 

As I've said earlier, it has a great length to it, and there's evidence of the text being manipulated to be visible where it otherwise wouldn't've been, which is a nice touch. The effects well thought out, but bullet effects don't always flow together so well. Still a really good effort put into the effect shown.

Originality:

 

I'm seeing slight elements of Dimension Wall/Cylinder and maybe a bit of a Skyscraper aspect in that it supports lower stat monsters, but those similarities are ever so slight.

Use "LIMITED EDITION" or nothing as the circulation, as every other circulation is unrealistic or made unrealistic by the Card Maker's thing of making all circulations into block capitals. "EN18" should be "EN018".

I see people will grade also based on if the card is balanced. But round 1 is about re-making an image of an anime-only card so, the balance doesn't really depend on us.

do we have to choose a relatively balanced card?

do we get to edit the effect of a card we choose if its too broken?
