OK.

I know you like Psychics' date=' and they can be good as a supporting type, eg Krebons, one of the best tuners in the game, and Psychic Commander, one of the more commonly used lv3 tuners.

But that does not mean you are god for making a pure Psychic deck.I mean, Hyper Psychic Blaster.

Sure, he has good stats, and his effect isn't as bad as Gate Guardian, but he's pretty much a real b**** to summon.lv9 for the original is really specific, so unless you have Overdrive Teleporter and Telekinetic Charging Cell he's pretty difficult to get. If you REALLY want to base your deck around a Psychic Synchro, make it Thought Ruler.

It's of the beloved Psychic type, and isn't a pile of s***.

i don't have hyper psychic blaster yet, but hoping to get one soon. but the situation is not about psychic decks( i used that as an example) but the pint i am getting around is dueling for the fun of it vs. dueling for the joy of winning. i know everyone is not perfect nor their decks, even i get defensive sometimes. the key of it is to learn self control and realize its only a game and not life or death matter.

it is always wise to pick a theme you as the individual is considered your personal favorite and build the deck that can not only strong but something you can call your own

That is wrong. It's not wise to pick a deck theme that you like if it is a bad deck theme. But it IS fun to play with a deck theme you like' date=' even if it isn't one of the more popular (A.K.A. good) decks, as long as you just want to have fun. I run Crystal Beasts (currently Abundance OTK). It's a good deck. But not as good as all the meta decks running around. And I know that. It's pointless to continuously argue that the lower ranked decks can stand up to the meta decks.

OK.

EXACTLY! A pure Psychic deck, no matter how good you say it is, should only be used for fun. Not competetive play. And mine is built around Thought Ruler. Which I just use for fun. >_>

^ This. TRA and Android are good in almost all other decks too. They are good, generic Synchros. Although most people will probably drop Android soon thanks to Catastor. I will too..

^ I've been having trouble keeping up on all the new cards. What's Catastor? (Possibly PM me the card so that we don't spam up this topic.

To kind of try to stay on topic: And, yeah, TRA and Android are just good generic Synchros.

Eh you can be original and still do good at this game, it's all about how creative you can get with the cards and how well you understand the competitive environment imo. As long as you're not one of those type who is against using any sort of popular card because they're popular(and they're popular because you know...they're good) then you should be able to do ok. If people are bashing your deck, improve it, improve it, and improve it again until you can get positive criticism. No deck is perfect the first time, be willing to change and improve it as you learn new things about the game and consider things that you wouldn't at once think of putting in said deck.

Also, I've noticed...some of the first to bash a deck doesn't understand how it works, explain your reasoning and your thought process, you may get suggestions on what works better and if someone understands what you were trying to attempt usually they will be more accepting of the faults of your deck. I agree that no one should have to put up with verbal abuse though, some people do tend to go just a bit too far.

i have found an asnwer to counter the popular deck idea. since some people say the more popular deck themes are good is not 100% true. the deck does not bring either victory or defeat, it's the player who uses the deck decides that based on how well they use the deck and the timing of certain cards. so popular deck themes does not bring victory but the player.

actually i was being serous when i said that because deck themes never win duels. only the player that uses it and that is a fact. it will always the players actions that determines a duel. EX: if a player uses his/her cards at the right time victory is insured, but if a player just plays any card without thinking then they'll be lucky to win. see what i mean.

while that is the case' date=' they are usually still better than psychics[/b']

the deck does not bring either victory or defeat, it's the player who uses the deck

while in some cases that may be true, but most decks nowadays follow a script, so as soon as you learn the script, BAM! you can own people.

decides that based on how well they use the deck and the timing of certain cards.

"Oh wow, Johnny! That guy can lucksack! He must be the best player ever!"

so popular deck themes does not bring victory but the player.

CAUSE SRSLY IF JEFF JONES TOOK A PSYCHIC DECK TO SJC HE WOULD TOP AGAIN SRSLY

well from now on whatever deck i make its going straught to youtube, so people would look at the deck while listening to music :)

i currently have 2 decks at my disposial: a psychic deck and a dragon deck. i am currently planning to build a third deck but right now i am figuring out what deck to use solo and what to use in tag duels. anyway i always experiment my decks before taking them out to big duels, by putting the decks on a test drive to fix any bugs in it until no more improvements can be made, then i decide if it's good enough or not. if good: put it in my deck case.

if bad: scrap it and back to drawing board.

^So Yugikidchor, according to that logic.... You can win with a 40 card deck, whare 35 of the 40 cards are level 7+ Nomi monsters.

actually i was being serous when i said that because deck themes never win duels.

According to this' date=' 80 card random decks should be the meta.

only the player that uses it and that is a fact. it will always the players actions that determines a duel. EX: if a player uses his/her cards at the right time victory is insured, but if a player just plays any card without thinking then they'll be lucky to win. see what i mean.

Again, you are wrong.

You are not "a good duelist" if you miraculously get lucky and draw a god-hand, yet, you are using a deck with 0 consistancy, and none of the cards have any synergy.

only people that cant play the game complain about this so get better and make a decent deck, the reason the decks get flamed is because they are rubbish and wont win whats the point of a game if your not playing to win?
