which is better.

Spirit Reaper is better for more Aggressive decks, while Marshmallon is good for stalling/burning.

Spirit Reaper

pros:

*Dark (searchable by Mystic Tomato)

*Discards a card when damage happens

*isnt destroyed by battle

Cons:

*low atk

*destroyed when targeted (not really a problem because most cards that target monsters will destroy them anyways, if you know how to play the game)

Marshmallon

Pros:

* Inflicts Damage

* Not Destroyed by battle

* Not destroyed when targeted (like Reaper)

Cons:

*low ATK

*doesnt discard cards when damage happens

*not dark, only searchable by sangan

But it all really depends on the deck you play.

I like Marshmallon. He is stonger than Spirit Reaper, by like 300 DEf, but still stonger. This is good for monsters that do piercing damage

Plus as you said he is harder to killl than Spirit Reaper, so should stay on the field longer.

This might sound stuiped but how is being searchable by Mystic Tomato a pro?

First of all, like Orochi said, Marshmallon is searchable by all sorts of cards, such as just in the TCG Advance Format, Shining Angel, Nova Summoner, Damage Condenser, Different Dimension Capsule, Sangan, and Gold Sarcophagus.

Also, you forgot to list Spirit Reaper as a Zombie, a HUGE advantage. That's why you don't see guys running Marshmallon in their Zombie Decks, but Spirit Reaper is as much as a staple in them as 3 Card of Safe Returns. And Marshmallon gets a small advantage for being a Light Fairy, so it works well in a Fairy Deck, or a Sky Scourge deck.

wrong... you forgot shinning angel and nova summoner... ¬¬

lol shining angel.

who is going to run Shining Angel in any deck? i mean, its okay for Fairy Counter decks, but thats one exception out of the many types of GOOD decks.

and again... you forgot the "sky scourge" and the "BEWD" decks... also some "not for kids" deck like batteryman deck...

my opinion is: choosing one or another doesn't even depend on the strategy, it only depends on which one do you like more...

most of us make decks and put some cards that we like more... it's like the "card crush" mentioned on yugioh GX... why bastian had pikeru in his deck even when it wasn't on his strategy?? the same here... you love marshmallon, use marshmallon, you love reaper, use reaper...

and it's really doesn't matter which one plays, because BOTH will be searched with sangan only, and BOTH will be played face-down defense position, and BOTH will suffer when they receive piercing damage...

Marshmellon can be searched by Shining Angel... plus, when is Spirit ever going to inflict damage.. honestly... its better in DEF... (only Reaper on the Nightmare Kicks ass)... but still

Marshmellon is kinda better... but its tough when under Creature Swap or soemthing

but personally, this card kicks anything!
