[spoiler=A GOOD RP Sample]

(You make this too easy)

The door of the house opened slowly. The young boy peaked in to the old house, the dust of the ages coated everything. With a click, his flashlight lit up the hallway, the free dust making small light shows in the beam of light. Little Josh entered the house, his every step sending tremendous creaks from the floorboards, sending slight shivers up his back. 'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea' the boy muttered as he walked further into the house. There was nothing individually scary about this house, it just seemed to have a 'presence' of some sort. A loud creaked echoed through the hallway, forcing Josh to turn around in surprise and readiness.

Fine then.

MINIMUM lines: 20, or 3 paragraphs.

You are to create a scenario in which two or more beings fight (I love fights ^-^). ln this fight, one, and only one, of these beings must control a human-sized puppet. Jutsu's are banned.

ln addition, the fight must take place in Japan. The setting and characters MUST be explained in full detail. l expect at least grade 9 vocabulary, grammar and punctuation are obvious. Other then that, your options are limitless.

Can you do it? lt's basic for Elite's.

Do you like fights, or Naruto? Also, the story behind is that the main character controls a human sized puppet through a mysterious ability he possesses. A dark organization wants to utlize this power for evil, by either forcefully recruiting him, or killing him and sticking his soul into a controlled vessel. Also, I suggest that you don't challenge someone's whose main vice is writing.

[spoiler=Puppet Play]

Dust blew over the parched and yellowed grass, whispering a fight long since coming. It was a secluded part of Tokyo, a part better left forgotten. This small run-down park had seen better days, but better days had not seen it. The small sandbox used to contain sand, but now much of it has spilled onto the yellow grass through holes in the rotten sides. A short walk away from the cracked concrete path was the frame of a swing set. Long gone are the days when children used to swing from that frame, now only dirty chains hung in the air, carrying the burden of regret. The parched and yellow grass would spear the feet of those foolish enough to brave them bare-footed. Only a single bench remained, its metal visage stained with graffiti. Its brethren had been destroyed or burned away. A lone tree stubbornly clung to its spot. Its branches devoid of leaves, it is pockmarked by carvings of supposed love and ‘Erne wuz ere’. This was a park full of sinister regrets.

Walking on the concrete path was a man dressed in simple sweeping robes; he was accompanied by an oddly dressed man. The man’s loose top rested neatly on his body, as his long sleeves gently blew in the dry wind. The bottom of his robe swept downwards in an adjoining pattern, resembling a blooming flower. The man kept his face hidden by a hood; flickers of his face could be seen in the sun. His companion sported more obscene garments. He wore an extremely baggy pair of pants which were far too large for his legs; the pants were kept at his waist by a thick leather belt. A small brass belt buckle clung to the front, reading ‘puppet playa’. His top had no sleeves, so his lanky and ghostly white skin could be seen. The man wasn’t overly handsome, but he had a look in his eyes, one of deep determination. His thin brown hair seemed unmoved by the wind, and his dull blue eyes darted around cautiously. ‘I figured you would come’ a voice announced.

The two companions looked around wildly for the source of the noise. A sudden nick appeared on the man’s neck, which he grabbed in shock. Small trickles of blood dribbled from between his fingers. The assailant appeared several feet in front of him. The man had tight-fitting black pants, with bands tied at his ankles. He wore legless black boots, allowing for silent stepping. Several black bands were tied around at his waist. The shirt he wore tightly covered his medium build body. His thin sleeves extended down to his wrists, where black bands bound them. His black gloves were indistinctive, but they appeared to be soft. The man’s face couldn’t be seen, he was masked by a black balaclava. His eyes peered through the eyeholes; they were black and almost soulless. “I figured someone like you would mount a sneak attack” the man argued, trying to stop the bleeding on his neck. The masked man made no noise or sound, but he simply vanished. The man quickly raised his hands; his companion began to move oddly. The man spun around, his partner orbiting him and crashing into the assailant as he attempted to backstab the man. It could be seen now that the hooded man wasn’t in fact a man, but a large puppet. In the direct sunlight it could be found that it didn’t have a face. “It figures that a toady like you would try sneak attacks, I have told your master already that I am not going to join his sick organization” the man stated.

The masked man vanished again; however, the man did nothing. The puppet sprang to life and began to wildly thrash about around the man (who is unnamed but I’ll call him the ‘Puppeteer’ for now). The puppet swung around and connected with the masked man (I’ll call him ‘Assailant’). Assailant was tossed away, crashing into the swing frame with a ‘crunch’ and a ‘clang’. The leg dented further in as the weight of it all collapsed on Assailant. “Finish the job’ Puppeteer ordered to the puppet. The puppet nodded eagerly as it bounced forward, and then dancing forward, until he finally hopped to the wreckage. It peered at the rubble carefully, looking for signs of life. It raised its right hand and made a fist. With a ‘click’, the fist flipped over on a hinge, resting atop the arm. The inside of the arm was hollow, but it glew with an ominous light. The opening began to glow brightly, a sphere of light forming around it. Holding the arm steady with his other, the puppet fired at the rubble.

From a distance away, you could see an enormous dust cloud literally explode into the air. A medium sized crater was what was left on Assailant. The puppet was unharmed by the explosion, as was Puppeteer. The puppet’s fist clicked back into place and he hopped over to Puppeteer, happily bouncing around like a bouncing dog. “Excellent work my dear Excelsior; now we leave so we don’t attract more of ‘them’” Puppeteer stated, talking quick note of the crater Excelsior left. They both continued along the path, acting aw if nothing had happened. “Straighten your hood” Puppeteer ordered as Excelsior’s hood began to slip.

Not my best work, I got bored half-way through.

Naruto's fine, but l haven't watched it in over a year. l said jutsu's are banned because l didn't want you to copy Kankuro. The puppet idea is actually something l want to try (along with a book) in the next RP: also, because puppet mastery is one of the harder ideas to write about.

I'll read it and give feedback in a few minutes.

Since l can't explain much due to this damned computer, i'll just point out two things:

I liked it, it was very detailed. However, l didn't like the fact that the puppet was more human-like than puppet. A puppet usually is lifeless until it is given an order, but this one seemed to have an entire mind of it's own. Not a huge issue but still...

The assailant was obviously the bad guy, but l felt like he served no real purpose; like he just started with a wandering man in a park.

Overall though, good.

l noticed you got bored.

I suppose l should be writing something about puppets as well... though l can't do so currently because l still can't type on a keyboard for at least 3 more weeks, and i'm not even going to school...

Nevertheless l will try: l never did make a long post on YCM. Anyway, good job. l'll give you a rep and then i'm going to sleep.

Tips? No no, it's not creativity that's the issue here... l literally can't type long messages unless i'm at the library or a friend's house. l think my computer has a virus or it's just screwy.

You know how much l want to make a RP of my own? But l can't... and therefore l am bound to this club, as the one who supervises everyone's work yet never producing any of his own. Like being stuck in an hourglass...

l can't stand it! There's always so much more l want to say and it's utterly ruined by this stupid computer...

l can't exactly say l can relate seeing as l never owned an RP of my own. But l do know how annoying and disappointing it gets, building up such a wonderful, precious castle only to have it shatter within minutes due to the incompetence of people who don't like it...

Oh yes, it's about time l retire.

Night guys! Night Rachel ^-^
