Dark
Some of the Moderators have gotten so crazy these days, that this will be locked within the first few posts, even if no spamming, flaming or harassing existed, so keep in mind your first post in this thread may be your last in this thread. So take the time to make a nice post and try not to troll, as it won't bode well if this thread is locked. I have recently got back from a 3-day ban due to a 100% warning level. 2 days ago, a few threads were made about me and people were asking questions. This thread should clear it up. My ban ended yesterday, at around 4 PM, but homework obviously comes before YCM. Eating dinner also comes before YCM. And sleeping comes before YCM. That's the way the cookie crumbles. Let's recap my warnings in these past few weeks. I've gotten 6 warnings (or 7) throughout my time in YCM, but only these three pertain to this thread. Warning Number 1: 50% given by IcyblueIntentional SpammingTotal Warning Level: 50% Apparently, I posted one troll post about the "Shiny Pidgey" story and that constitutes for a 50% warning. Bravo, excellent. News flash: spammers who troll/spam more than I do will NEVER receive a 50% warning for a single post. Just letting you know. My posts were moderated for a few hours after this warning. Warning Number 2: 20% given by OpalmoonSwearing in Multiple PostsTotal Warning Level: 70% I do agree with Opalmoon for giving this warning, not because she is my favorite Moderator, but because this was the most viable out of them all. However, people curse more than I do more often than I do and still will not wind up getting a warning. This could just be my bad luck, or it could just be the corruption of the Moderators looking only at MY posts. We will never know. I could not post for a few hours after this warning. Warning Number 3: 40% given by Prince HunterFlaming and HarassingTotal Warning Level: 100% (110%) Obviously, being sarcastic by nature counts against you in the terms of flaming. Obviously, being an atheist by choice counts against you in the terms of flaming. Obviously, saying someone is wrong because they are counts against you in terms of harassing. This is by far the stupidest of the warnings I have received, or have ever heard of anyone receiving. And I think Prince Hunter assigned my warning to the wrong thread, assuming the warning was just. Obviously, since I have hit the 100% mark, I got a 3-day ban. It expired yesterday, as I said before, but YCM isn't too high on my priority list. I could talk about the corruption of the Moderators, I could talk about the stupidity of certain members, and I could quit YCM. But I won't. I simply made this thread to answer questions and hope that YOU understand what is supposed to come out of this thread. I understand this could result in a warning against me, or another ban, or even a perma-ban this time. But that will show more of the corruption that exists in this forum. I'm not gonna have a Draco moment and assess these things, because nothing will come out of it. I'll have to deal with it and move on. Some may view this as flaming, harassing and spamming. But you can see that when I flame/harass/spam, I don't do it with the intention of hurting someone enough to warrant in a warning. But I guess people think differently. Assuming I am not banned or given another warning (which would be 100%+, getting a ban), I'll try being active tomorrow. To make this a viable topic, please discuss your past bans and your past and current warnings. And if Moderators feel that is not a viable topic for some stupid reason, feel free to put strike tags around it and use the following topic: What was your favorite thread in the past three days? Thanks, and I hope I can enjoy whatever time I have left on YCM. Dªrĸ
Kizzi
Has the supposed troll post been kept? If so, link pl0x. I agree that Opalmoon's was probably the most valid, but I guess mods should be more consistent with punishing swearing. It can be pretty annoying. Dark
I'll find the troll post, and I admit it was a troll post, but it was one when others post multiple troll posts and get away scot-free. Guest JoshIcy
To the one I gave out...Stop that crap. It is impractical for us to get to EVERYONE just because you see it, doesn't mean we will, or be able to do anything about it. You drew the ugly stick, it was warranted and you got it. Geezus. Dark
I'd rather not make friends on the internet at all. And I checked the Kanye West thread. If I wasn't banned, I'd be the first one to post that because I was watching the VMA's live. EDIT: @ Icyblue: I'm not fighting for my warning to be taken away, nor am I making a topic to discuss MY warnings in particular, so you are technically off-topic. Flame Dragon
Cyber' date=' don't bother. I just need a few good chances to insult her intelligence and make her cry.[/quote']If I'm not mistaken that was the post that got you the warn. I can understand why that would count as flamming and harassing. Even if it was sarcastic and in fun it's sometimes hard to tell on the internet. As for the warn from Icy that was a bit much. Even if that was spam you really should have only gotten a 20% warn. 50% is simply to much IMO. I got banned because my hotlinked smiley turned into a graphic image. It was only made worse by no one telling me what had happened and the fact that I was like "It's a smiley, what's wrong with it?"[insert said graphic image]

Guest JoshIcy
On the contrary, it was about the topic and you called it uncalled for. I am merely defending my decision, and any other nitwit who decides to bring that up again will know. And besides... If I warned someone else instead; they would likely say the EXACT SAME THING. God... I get that so much... Ooh, and yes I have gotten a 20% warning once. From Opalmoon, for an off topic post in a games thread. But that time is long past. @kizzi: Intentional Spamming warning IS 50%, whether I want it to be or not.
~ P O L A R I S ~
I'm gonna go ahead and throw it out there. I don't think that the current moderators are as deep or complicated to understand as everyone gives them credit for. Nor do I think they have diabolical schemes to take specific members down. That being said' date=' anyone who gets banned was probably just in the wrong place at the wrong time. [/quote'] Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. Basically, those. I don't envy the Mods, but I think that warning for the sake of having an excuse from Frunk's "loose terms list" isn't helping to protect YCM. It'd be impossible to warn everyone who they could subject to being in violation of one of the loose terms, so instead the stab in the Dark, and anyone who might get punished was, as Willieh said, in the wrong place at the wrong time. Solution: More Mods, and a better punishment-to-offense system. Glassberry was brave enough to try it, but unfortunately his system was a little disproportionate. We need to try what Glass did, but we need to do it better.

In the guise of trolling. @ Flame Dragon: That was sarcasm, as I can't make someone cry except in real life, but I do have an enmity with kitty princess. @ POLARIS: I can understand I was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but why does it seem I am the only one who gets unfair warnings? Dark
Insulting idiots on the internet shouldn't be a punishable offence. Different people have different thoughts. Some people are right, others are wrong. If kitty princess posts in this thread, I'll report it on the grounds of flaming, as she does flame me. We'll see if she gets banned or not. Just as a pure experiment.
J-Max
This is exactly the reason why I am sometimes reluctant to issue Warnings. I actually went all out War a good few Months back I went mental about a Permanent 10% lol Just remember that a Moderator's descision is final, sorry you got the bad Stick though Dark. The enmity you have with her doesn't help. Your just that unlucky. Really though it's only 1 from what I can tell. One you agree with and the other I can understand why you got it. Also remember the more active you are the more likely it is that you will be seen stepping out of line. And another fact is that the state of mind does impact how people in general work. If we had a bad day it is more likely we'll snap at people even for little things.

Questioning a 20% warning for 50 spam posts is NOT VIABLE, therefore you should not be worrying about that.
