I refuse to worship Kratos like the rest of your mind whoars.

I actually don't have a high opinion of Kratos. So? I don't have a high opinion of Sora' date=' Roxas, Larxene, Chip, Dale, or Ex-Death. -_- What's your point? Or were you just sucking up to the woman who grips your balls via the internet?[/b']

b**** went crazy and killed his family, now he is trying to forget it. Wrong. He killed his family in sanity, to become a greater warrior. So was this task given to him by Ares.

That's why he fought in Chain's of Olympus and thats why he fought in God of War, God of War II is simply because Zeus is a dick and tried to kill him.

The original GoW was to send Kratos on the path for redemption. GoW II was about reclaiming god-hood and taking revenge against those who seek to see him fail. Never had the luxury of playing CoO. You're missing way too much to be spewing facts, dude.

His meaning of existene until Godhood was to run away from his own crimes. *sigh* You really need to read the wiki or play the games (again if you already have).

He's just a good fighter who happens to be brutal, that's like any boss who is alive.

You might as well worship Bowser, at least he doesn't kill to run away, he's just persistent and obsessed with revenge. Boswer's a turtle dragon. He was defeated by a 4 foot tall Italian crackhead and his malnutritioned brother. He's nowhere near as awesome as Kratos.

I did play Chains of Olympus and I did read the wikipedia, it states plan as day:

Prior to the events in the game, Kratos was the youngest and most promising captain in Sparta's army, quickly gaining recognition due to his violent tactics. During an attack by a barbarian tribe, they were outnumbered. Before being killed by the barbarian king, Kratos summoned Ares, the Greek god of war, and offered his soul in exchange for a victory. He continued to serve Ares until the god tricked him into killing his own family , after which he served several of the Greek gods for a decade. After becoming tired of serving the gods to erase the memories of his family's murder, he contacted Athena, who offered him forgiveness if he was able to stop Ares' destruction of Athens. After defeating several monsters which were attacking citizens, Kratos saves the city's oracle who tells him to retrieve Pandora's box in order to defeat Ares. Kratos succeeds in this task, but is killed by Ares and sent to Hades. After escaping from the underworld he returns to Athens and confronts Ares, regaining control of Pandora's box and using its power to kill the god. When he discovers that the gods' forgiveness does not include allowing him to forget his mistakes, he attempts suicide, but is stopped by Athena who informs him that he has been granted Ares' throne on Mount Olympus.

Oh Kratos, you're so manly, with your attempted suicides and your being fooled by the dumbest god and your running away from your own mistakes and your extremely bad business sense.

*swoon*

I'm going to go worship you.

That is the entirety of the first games plot, as told by Wikipedia.

Happy?

I never had a high opinion of Kratos after I finally beat a game that actually had him.

Plus your big argument has yet to convince me that KRatos is anything more than just a violent person who can't escape the few defeats he ever gets.

Only wrong thing in DP's post was the killing of his family. Some oracle or whatever warned him and he went in anyway and killed the residents in a blood rage type thing. only after he came back to his senses did he realize what he had done. That was when he swore revenge on Ares.

Wikipedia leaves out a lot of details. He tried to kill himself because yes, he couldn't forget, but the gods had told him they would erase the memories (they gave him nightmares all the time). However, they merely forgave him instead of erasing it.

And the appeal of Kratos is because he's flawed. It makes him interesting, by making him the target of horrors, but not turning him into a helpless victim. People that choose their favorites based on how similar their personality is to their own/what they wish was their own and how powerful and perfect they are, are the same people that pump out bucketloads of Mary Sues when they write.

tl;dr version:

QQ I like FF and this guy doesn't worship it. I'll jabroni about GoW.

QQ I like GoW and people are baiting me by putting down the main character.

Everyone stop acting like idiots. Now.

I told that in my response. What point are you attempting to make? -_-

Any other topics you guys want to talk about?

How about this mystery Kingdom Hearts game I've been hearing about?

People keep saying it's gonna be all about Riku. o:

I have never heard about that. So it is going to show Riku's side of the story from KH1-KH2? That would be cool.
