I still need to get going with that X-2 project I had - where I condense only the most important parts of the story into a 1-2 hour movie.

 

Because while most of the game's story was good, it could have been really great if only those important aspects were focused on. So I essentially aim to make a movie that will present X-2 in a pleasing light. You know, aside from the awesome gameplay.

 

@Zeo: Hmmm~

 

Well, Sin is a tough beast to take down without proper preparation. Can you rememebr your skills/strategy?

Well, here's the most important ones.

 

Do you have:

 

Holy

Flare

Quick Hit

Hastega

Armor Break

Doublecast

 

You'll need one or two party members to have at least a couple of those between them, but all of them between your party wouldn't hurt.

 

Basically, when the fight starts, have Lulu doublecast (if able) her most powerful magic (hopefully Flare). Yuna can back her up with Holy if she has it. Otherwise, start buffing the party with Hastega (a must) and protective enchantments like Protect and Shell.

 

Also, use your Aeons, since they can attack from afar. Having Bahamut (and dare I say, Anima?) with their Overdrives already charged will be very beneficial.

 

When you get close enough, Sin will start attacking, but Auron will also be able to armor break it, allowing your strognest physcial hitters to put the smack on it. You'll probably want to use Tidus and Auron (both Hasted). If Tidus has Quick Hit, even better. (I also had Rikku, but I doubt yours is as strong as mine was.)

 

Sin's attacks carry some nasty status ailments, so you may also want Auto-Med on a couple characters to make it easier.

I REALLY don't want to use Aeons, since they ruin the fights for me. But if I must. Also, how do you get Anima? D: I don't have her yet.

For the improvement list I'd like a monster arena like in Dragon Quest, or some fights that is optional but allows a different pace of game-play.

 

You know variety and stuff.

 

Yep...

 

And customizable stuff, I like customizing stuff.

 

And I feel like allocating skill points and the like hardly count.

 

 

Plus we need magic that has each individual spell useful, so Fire isn't obsolete when Fira is learned.

 

Oh, I know.

 

When you use a spell it evolves granting Meta slots. By placing some magicite (unlocked from the minigame I mentioned before and from beating bosses) you can augment the spell. This way magic is customized from the barest bits. Fire, Fira and the like appear as default magicite formations.

 

Huh? How about that?

I like customization and it's simillar to the panel system in Days, but with attacks.

 

Combined with leveling, it can be very useful right?

 

 

Oh yeah, a summon arena would be fun, to gain summon based power ups and stuff.

 

Side quests that make you fight a certain style, if you fight that style well you get things that make the style better, otherwise you just ignore it.

 

A make your own choices game.

 

You can't choose what your characters does in story, but at least you can control thier actions in battle.

Can she use it effectively? She has to have a decent magic score; the spell itself won't do much otherwise.

 

Also, I know Aeons cheapen things, but it's kinda necessary with Sin unless you're overleveled. You ARE on a time limit, after all.

 

Also, Auto-med is an equipment Customization, not a skill. You just need 30 Remedies and you can customize it onto a peace of armor - you can buy remedies from Rin.

 

 

EDIT: I'd also like to see another game where the summons aren't overpowered and broken. Like XIII's summons, they aren't broken at all, considering the battle system. Also, on the arena note, I want something like the one in X/X-2.

 

Tons of superbosses to fight like in X, but with the ability to recruit ANY character for your arena team, like X-2 International. Seriously, you could have ana rena team comprised of Tidus, Seymour, and a Cactuar.

@FFX Strategy: I just charged every single Aeon overdrive and went PEW PEW with them in rapid succession. It was so awesome...except for that GOD DAMN SANCTUARY KEEPER! That thing is worse than Seymour Flux.

Blood I can handle. Nudity I just don't like, especially if you're Satan from that GoW ripoff Dante's Inferno that completely bastardizes the original text more than the Lightning Thief movie did to both the book and Greek mythology as a whole.

 

Perhaps I should get off my ass and my a little X.
