Infinitus
Wasn't Exdeath some sort of seedling? I was having the same convo with my friend the other day, I explained how he was a tree, then a few days later he looked him up. He said he was a seedling, and I explained how babies are still humans, even though they are very young humans.
Sploda
X-Death (Spell it right people, use the original name!) is epic because he used to be this really big tree then Enuo corrupted him and he became a FF villian. @SupernovaFace it practically ever Square Enix Villian is more badass than Sephiroth. Which caused Sephiroth to try and compensate by having a really long sword.

Infinitus
One thing is certain. Kefka >>>>>>> Sephiroth ;D Well, in terms of success, I think Kefka pretty much is. Power, I'm on the fence about it. Sephiroth does have some magical power and physical power, but Kefka has all magical power(Speaking normal state mind you, not god state, because after a protagonist beats an antagonist, generally the antagonist can't become a god again. Unless I am mistaken. If so, point it out.) but no physical power. Sephiroth would be quite difficult to land a blow on, but magical powers are often more effective than physical powers, which is mostly Sephiroth's game, of course that doesn't mean that Sephiroth beating Kefka isn't out of the realm of possibility. Not by a landslide, but if he did, it would be barely. And I mean barely. As far as character goes, I think Kefka is more creative, and Sephiroth is just "Silent emo badassery", which is done quite a few times. Anyway, Kefka is just a clown psychopath bent of destroying everything simply because he can, but most villians have to have a deep meaning, dark past, and reason to be evil. Kefka does it because he can, which is kind of....... BA. I would judge backstory, but I don't know enough about Kefka's backstory, and I generally believe he doesn't have much, and I would be biased towards Sephy. Which I don't want to do. So, in most cases, Kefka > Sephiroth. Yet, I just like Sephiroth better. I'm not much of a mage person.
Marisa Kirisame-ze
I actually liked Kadaj more than Sephiroth, even though they were practically clones of each other or something of the sort o-o But I've really been eyeing Noctis Lucis Caelum. He just looks badass to begin with, even though the game with him isn't even released I think.
Zexaeon
Then wouldn't Seymour be badasser?I don't think that's a word. >_>It certainly is when Seymour is involved. He wanted to control God Whale to save the world by ending it.Sephiroth wanted to use the planet as a moving vessel and create a new world on another planet in another galexy. What's your point? Nex was pointing out that they both have Messiah complexes. Also he killed his dad.Sephiroth wanted to kill everyone. So did Seymour."Unique" cases don't count. That simply means "I like this guy so he doesn't get to have flaws."He's a super-soldier that is by definition' date=' the perfect warrior.[b']Only because Nomura keeps saying so. He was originally known as a Legendary SOLDIER, who was the best at what he did. No one started calling him the perfect warrior until Nomura went all VII fanboy on us and started making a million FFVIIs, stuffing "Sephiroth is God!!!!!" down our throats the whole way.[/b] Also, Seymour had a mommy complex.Logically I can defeat him in sword combat if I choose the right place.Lol. I don't think that would happen' date=' but it'd be cool to see.[b']I gotta agree with this.[/b] @Phoenix: I'm not dissing the game because of the fans - I did clearly say it was a great game. I just hate the reputation its more idiotic fans have given it.
Nexev
See the reason I can defeat him in sword combat is simple. I wield a Kodachi while Sephiroth's blade is seven feet long. That is like impossible to draw but should it be assumed he had it already drawn the fact that I can choose the area of combat lets me win. See as long as I choose a place that is very small Sephiroth can't really utilize his sword, he couldn't cut through and such to negate the disadvantage because to gather strength for the slash the sword would have to be drawn back or so. So if the room is about 7'2 cubed in dimensions Sephiroth would be unable to use his sword in any effective style. Nor would he be able to really move as the sword would get in his way. As such my close quarters blade would let me win. Of course I would lose if it wasn't strictly sword combat as he could then utilize magic and if we were fighting in a large area I would lose. But then again, I haven't so much as touched and actual sword. But the fact of the matter is that honestly Sephiroth is an idiot. No one should use a weapon that relies entirely on open space. Zexaeon
@Nex: Your logic is defeated by the fact that Sephiroth can cut through just about anything with extreme ease. The size of a room doesn't limit his effectiveness, because all he has to do is cut through the walls. It would not impede him in any way. Plus, he never has that thing in a sheath. @Lar: I've been playing Pokemon and FFXIII. xD;; Mostly Pokemon.

That means that if he could only use small swings he might not be able to cut through the wall. But I wouldn't know, the feat is physically impossible either way so when human power is surpassed they may also be able to surpass other constraints. I was actually worried about that when I thought up the area but decided that he wouldn't be able to cut through metal if he can't move his sword well. Phantom Roxas
Well, I'm in the midst of Chapter 7 in XIII and I managed to beat Team Rocket in SoulSilver. I lol'd at how Archer goes "Okay, since Giovanni did this when he lost, I'll just disband Team Rocket right now." Now all I need are Umbreon and Lanturn, but I'll go off and catch Lugia I guess. Nex, you can't apply common logic to Final Fantasy. Sephiroth has inhuman strength - again, he requires no effort to cut through walls, so he doesn't need to put any power behind his swing to do it. His sword can move fast, too, without the need for any prior acceleration. So it doesn't matter how small the room is, he can cut through the walls. Sorry. Larxene
Essentially, this is what happened since the last time you even did anything. Utsuho fused with the Cloud of Darkness. A few days later, Reimu was killed in a battle with Utsuho, and part of her soul was sent to the Void. Yuyuko was able to bring Reimu back as a ghost, but she wasn't able to physically do anything since half of her soul was in the Void. Anyway, more stuff happens, blah blah blah, nothing important. So anyway earlier today, Yukari opened a portal to the Void and her and all the other Warriors of Light/Darkness (Reimu, Miasma, Remilia, Rumia, and Sakuya. Flandre and Hina weren't there apparently. *Cough cough*) went in to go find Reimu's soul in order to bring her back to life. (Sikieiki made a deal with Reimu that she would bring her back to life this one time, but she would never be allowed to come back as a ghost the next time she died.) The Cloud of Darkness showed up shortly after they all went into the Void, and Rumia and Sakuya stayed behind to distract her. So anyway, they all found Reimu's soul and went back to Gensokyo to revive her. Once they did, they went back to the Void. (Rumia and Sakuya were still fighting the Cloud of Darkness in a different area.) When they got there, Utsuho showed up and they fought and sheet. Utsuho was the one in control of her mind, and wanted them to stop her, but her body was being controlled by the Cloud of Darkness. So toward the end of the fight, Miasma jumped in front of Utsuho's strongest attack to protect everyone else, and almost died. Yukari just barely managed to get her out of the Void before she got killed, and she survived. Shortly after, Yukari and Reimu separated the Cloud of Darkness from Utsuho, leaving her in a highly weakened state. So anyway, that's pretty much all the fighting. After that, they had a long conversation with the Cloud of Darkness, and Utsuho managed to convince her that what she had been doing for all those hundreds of thousands of years was wrong, since their minds had been linked together and Utsuho could tell how she felt. So the Cloud of Darkness restored everyone who had been sent to the Void or had been killed throughout this whole thing, mainly Letty, Kotohime, Lilith, Alan, Melony, Kana, and the humans that died when Lilith fought Rumia. And then Yukari managed to turn the Cloud of Darkness into a youkai, which caused the Void to collapse entirely. HAPPY ENDING YAY. EVERYONE'S FRIENDS NOW. And then in the Extra stage, you have to go fight the Cloud of Darkness' younger sister.
