And yeah, I'm not gonna watch the dub for Savers. I can watch 01/02/Tamers in English because even with the occasional bad joke tossed in, those were dubbed back before Four Kids Entertainment was 4Kidstv. As such, they aren't nearly as butchered as the stuff 4Kids would later translate (like Yugioh, for example).

 

I dunno who translated Savers, but I have heard it sucks, so I'm watching the Japanese.

Allow me to further this point-

 

Lucifer is Latin for Bringer of Light.

Luce is Italian for light.

Lucifer was The FAVORITE Angel, and the most powerful, beautiful angel. He would have power to solve peace, but he chose Pride, AKA Lucemon Falldown Mode's sin. He fell for that, and became the Lord of the Flies.

 

Jesus did not bring peace, in effect. He brought controversy within Judaism. But, this led to the birth of Christianity. He died. Lucemon is NOT Like my Jesus.

Luce = Lucifer. Lucifer = Satan's angelic name. Meaning he is a combo of an angel (possibly Jesus) and Satan. So he's most likely a combo of both. He may be both Jesus AND Satan.

Incorrect. Lucemon's Rookie hands bear the mark of Digital Destruction, only held by the most destructive, and easy to taint digimon, such as Guilmon. Lucemon Falldown Mode is his decent from angel to demon, so he is conflicted. The devil wants the world to love him, or perish. Sound familiar? He wants to become God to create a New world. Also, Angels are not sons of God.

You got the Digital Hazard part wrong. The Digital Hazard is a sign that the Digimon marked with them CAN cause the destruction of the Digital World, implying that Lucemon also has an untainted digivolution line.

... You realize angels are a different species, right? No one becomes Angels. We become Spirits. Angels are servants of God, and We are Sons/Daughters of God.

 

OK, I got digital hazard wrong, but he still portrays Satan's traits. At the same time, I think he represents humanity.

Yes, however, because he has an untainted line, that means that he can also show characteristics of God. Therefore, he can be either.

That's like Saying Guilmon or Gaogomon could be God. Lucemon shows he wants to be loved, but he is prideful, and will do anything to get there. He is a dictator, and he will kill all that do not love/worship him.

 

In the end, I'm pretty sure he is humanity, if not only Satan. I think he shows quite a few traits of humanity.

It seems you don't fully know his backstory. Lucemon didn't become evil on his own, no he had help from the lord of darkness, GranDracmon. Like the true Lucifer, Lucemon fell from grace by the darkest of the dark, a creature whom not even the Demon Lords would pick a fight with.

If that's the case, then Lucemon is even less God. God would not fall for his Creation, the evil Satan. Dracmon seems to be satan.

Okay, get off the topic of religion. We're talking about religious references in Digimon, which is fine and dandy, but the moment personal beliefs come into this, it's no longer alright.

 

That kind of talk can go in debates or some other crap place.

 

Also, BrokenHeart, really, just drop it. Lucemon is not a reference to God or Jesus in any sense. Marsuvees has provided all the points necessary to convey that. Drawing the conclusion that Lucemon could represent God based on a flimsy note like "He loves everything" is hardly reputable. Everything in Lucemon's description, name, and actions describes him as a representation of Lucifer. Get over it.
